In 1997, I was very depressed and I was going to take my life. I asked God if He was real to show me where He was. About two days later, I was given a New Testament and I read the Gospel of John for the first time in my life. I invited Jesus in my heart and about two days later, I had a dream. I entered a dark room, it had shelves with candles. In the middle there was a throne, and on the throne there was an old man with white bright clothes. I was going to leave when His eyes and my eyes locked. I understood that He knew everything about me, all my life and all my sins and bad things I said about God were known and I was ashamed. But His eyes, had love and forgiveness and peace. Like waves, His eyes had much more love that shame could not overtake me. I started to feel like I was fading and falling into His love and forgiveness and peace, like a flood that immersed me. I started to fall on my knees and my eyes could not see His eyes anymore, my forehead went down and as my eyes couldn’t see His eyes anymore, I was looking down and in His hands, He was holding my New Testament, then my forehead touched the floor and I started to cry melting in His love, and forgiveness and peace. I woke up crying. This song made me remember that night in 1997. I was 20 years old. Tonight, while I listened to this song, it reminded me of my dream and I wanted to cry so much.
