This black Detroit 60's chick has always loved Paul anka since he appeared with the teenagers on American bandstand. This is one of my favorite songs by him beautiful let me get to know you. I always think of the place of love Italy when l hear it although l never been there. Loved seeing him in concert great and a show the whole family enjoyed cause my dad and his date attended along with me and my date.

This song awakened something in me when I was a kid playing this LP (which I had gotten for Christmas from my parents). All of the songs on this album are gems, but this song had a huge impact on me. I still have 2 copies of this album, the original one I got as a child 36 years ago and the pristine one that I purchased off of an internet vendor a few years ago. Such a beautiful song, such a wonderful performance by the amazing Paul Anka, so sad that many of us missed that era and the extraordinary music that went with it. Listening to voices and songs like this today sure is great but, it definitely lacks the memories that many of you have, since you were around in those days. Bittersweet feeling.
