Walt was so pissed and angry only to realize he could've gotten the names from Lydia.

Mike was wrong on this one. Sure Walt's ego and pride didn't help, but that wasn't the main reason. The main reason was those dealers of Gus's. The used that kid to kill Combo, then they killed the kid. Jessie goes to kill them, then Walt kills them to protect jessie. Enter Gale, Walt knew that the moment Gale knew the cook, had the right purity, both Walt and Jessie were dead men. Gale had to go, and even then, Walt knew Gus was going to try again to get someone else to learn the cook. Though even if Jessie was back, Walt knew that if he died from his cancer and Jessie had to cook, Gus was going to bring in a new assistant for Jessie. Which if that assistant learned the cook, it was Gale all over again. They would kill Jessie most likely as he was a "problem." Not to mention, this 3 months for 3 million extrented annually deal. Yeah, even if Walt had taught Gale the cook and just "retired", I don't see Gus actually letting Walt live. Too much of a risky loose end.

I don't know about the Jessie part, I know that Gus actually changed his mind somewhat and thought that Jessie was potentially salvageable (though killing walt might have changed that)
