I turned 69 years old last May 10. Thank God that I am blessed to have good health. I do not have any kind of health problem to this date. I do eat a small serving of fresh fruit everyday, such as mangoes, watermelon, papaya, pomelo, avocado, tamarind, cantaloupe, and anything that is in season in my country. I also eat peanuts, almond nuts, pecan nuts, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, and pitted dates. I eat greens such as cabbage, bok choy, watercress, celery, spinach, lettuce, okra, bittermelon and moringa, but not on a daily basis. I will have a slice or 2 of buttered white bread almost every other morning, and have 2 soft boiled egg every morning and a bowl of steel cut oats on other mornings. I drink water with a tbsp of apple cider vinegar 30 mins before every meal. I would have beef and pork meat once or twice a week and eat fish and chicken the rest of the week. I love yogurt, kombucha and water kefir, sauerkraut and fermented baby cucumbers. I am not concerned if I am eating organic or non organic food because organic is not readily available where I come from. BTW, I also enjoy chocolates and cake treats once in a while. I do not deprive myself of some of the guilty pleasures in life Thank God that I have never been really sick of anything. My mother who had about the same eating habit as mine, lived to be 90 years old. I hope that by sharing this, I could encourage someone to eat moderately and still enjoy to the fullest.

I've tried every tip on the internet, on staying healthy from blue blocking glasses to red light therapy and cold showers.... not much of a change. I think your story Maria, says something about our DNA and prior damage to the body. Some are, as you write, blessed with good health, some are not.

When I got home, I went vegetarian, and gradually vegan. My diabetes went away, my cholesterol and blood pressure levels returned to normal. I'm still eating plant based and constantly tweaking my diet.

I was diagnosed with severe RA (Rheumatoid Arthritis) in 2005 when I was 36 years old and told by one of the leading RA specialist in my country at the time that I need to go onto CHEMO to control the symptoms and then make peace with the fact that I will end up in a wheelchair before I turn 50. When I asked him if my problem is related to my diet ... he told me not to waste time with "old wives tales". I ignored his advice and started looking at my diet and learned more about what aggravates my RA .... 16 years later I'm in better shape and more active I've ever been.

That is true. Since 2018 I all of a sudden would have some seasonal depression. October would come and for the entire month I was depressed. For NO reason. I could not figure out what was going on. It happened again in 2019, in October. Last year I decided to pay attention to my food and curb some things out, away. Whatever it was that would cause me to feel anxious all the time and could not focus well I would stop eating it. Once i learned foods that triggered me like that I stopped. Did it right on time before the season changed and when October hit...whew, didn't have such negative feelings that "nothing mattered" anymore. Will do same thing this year.

After one year with a former diagnostics of cancer tumors in both lungs, two weeks ago after an ER visit for a concussion and subsequent hours of vomiting as a result, a cat scan revealed that the cancer had gone from an almost 4 cm and a 5 cm tumor down to 9mm and 11 mm. nodules in less than a year using ONLY food, the right food, the right supplements. The cancer that would have killed me is all but gone through diet only. The chemo and radiation that would have killed me never had an opportunity as I would never, ever allow my body to be killed by it. I never missed a day of of the hard physical labor I do 24/7/365 at the large animal rescue I work at.

No Symptom for him with below 5 calprotectin level for his inflammation, and we lost our weight and feel just great! Excellent discussion! I’m a licensed nurse for almost 30 years and I specialize in natural health. People come to me for help around the world and I always instruct people to remove toxic poisons on food and to consume organic foods. People immediately see an improvement in their health and the body knows exactly what to do to repair itself when given nutrition free of toxic poisons. I have seen terminal diseases reverse when people got into alignment with the health laws of God for health. The goal is not to add anything into your body that will create diseases. Practice making healthy choices every day and you will get better at loving yourself and taking excellent care of yourself! If you make a bad food choice, dust yourself off, and practice making better food choices until you master discipline, if, your goal is to walk in health and not sickness. Blessings of health to the world!

@@ruthyvonne9883, Ask your doctor if you can flush out your colon with a organic coffee enema. Coffee enemas removes gallstones, liver stones, and kidney stones. Don’t be surprised if parasites come out as well! You have to stop eating foods sprayed with toxic chemicals and consume organic food. You need to drink distilled water and not sink water with over 700 chemicals. Remove milk products from your meals because milk products creates stones. Instructions: Add 1/2 cup of organic coffee in a medium saucepan filled with distilled water. Bring to a boil and strain. Add the organic coffee to an enema bag or enema bucket. Lubricate the tip of the enema tube with organic olive oil and place the tip of the enema tube 1/2 inch in the rectum with your doctor’s permission. Place a towel on your bathroom floor and lay to one side, then, insert the tip of the enema tube in the rectum. Stop eating fried foods and increase your fruits, vegetables, and alkaline grains, such as quinoa. Essential oils such as olive oil and organic lemon juice will dissolve stones and flush them out of the body. I make homemade salad dressing with olive oil combined with organic lemon juice for my fresh salads. My homemade salad dressing dissolves stones.

Thank you for posting. Parents need to be taught again how to raise healthy, emotionally balanced kids. It's like we have been robbed of our health by the commercial food world. My parents in the 70's or 80's never stopped to think this was not good for us, and there were no limits on junk food. I was born in the early 70's. My mom says the pediatricians were telling mothers and told her NOT to breastfeed and to give SMA formula. How horrible that pediatricians were doing this! But still we do not see enough pediatricians telling parents how destructive to the mind and body, that junk food can cause, and the value of a good diet. So good to see people are starting to see the truth.

diet and nutrition should be part of everyone's routine when it comes to regular medical check ups. Doctors really aren't concerned about preventative measures like proper nutrition and most don't even want to discuss nutrition as well as exercise. They're job is to deal with and treat illness and that's it. That's one main reason why our hospitals are filled with people who might not even been there had they been educated about proper nutrition.

Congratulations in taking interest in your personal health. I'm glad you are starting at a young age in watching what you eat. When I was 23, I ate a lot of junkfood and this worsened when I was in a bad marriage. Needless to say, I developed diabetes and a host of other illnesses. You are right; we are being lied to...all the time. Even doctors (the ones that work for big pharma), routinely lie to patients in order to sell medicines and procedures. I've experienced this personally. So in the future, if you are being suggested medicines by your doctors, do your research first to see if food can fix the issue; if not, then use medicine as a last resort. That being said, one of the best things young people can invest in is organic foods. Health is wealth. And the people that profit from junkfoods are the ones investing in chemicals that are used in junkfoods. Why do you think certain people are billionaires and trillionaires? BTW, food at mcdonalds/pizzahut, etc isn't real food. Some of it is created in labs. So yes, we are being lied to everyday and psychologically manipulated. And those doing that are getting away with it. So here's some unsollicited advice for you. Hope you don't mind because I wish someone taught me these things when I was your age :)

Just the best conversations with a great panel. I've been a foodie for many years, a plant based diet with some fish. However they are so right when they mention we cannot be perfect. A truth folks must embrace or they will feel defeated when they lower their bar. I am aware of most of this content but as a writer, i loved how each panelist expressed their parts of the convo. My biggest take-away is the realization that even though i eat pretty clean i have seen myself compromise and now i'm even more determined. The whole convo on hybridized food was so interesting. I know foods are but i learned alot anyway. I esp loved the corn convo. I've researched Maize and became obsessed with what i learned and also how the native americans used to soak the corn in milk before cooking it. Now i Must get heirloom corn to plant. I'll pause here. I feel like a panelist suddenly :) I've shared this with my family. tku for a great convo

I live in a Medical University town. I have many health problems, two of which are Diabetes II and Acute Intermittent Porphyria. I tried Keto and fasting, trying to lose weight. I hurt my body by doing these. With porphyria, a patient needs to eat carbs and sugar. With Diabetes, very little carbs and sugar. I cannot find anyone in this area, who doesn't want me on drugs, and insulin. I want to cure myself with food! I feel like I am dying by 5:00pm, every day. I am going into a porphyria attack every day. This is not healthy! I have spent thousands of dollars on supplements, and buying pills, from online doctors. Soon, I will not have that money to spend. Could you tell me what type of doctor, I should seek? I have had 5 mini strokes, and now it is very difficult to find a neurologist who cares. I have gained back the 14 pounds I lost, and the weight is going up. This is not good for diabetics, or patients with porphyria. I am obese. I am at a loss! The only functional doctor in the area, charges approximately $500, a visit. Takes no insurance. I am not rich. There is one injection I could take, a new drug, but it costs $66,000 a month. They claim Medicare will cover it, but, I have called 4 times, and got four different answers.

How do you know that was the cause? Just curious. I have ADHD, which is probably caused by "jabs" (not sure what we can write anymore). I, too, have to take pricey medication, and because they use lactose as a filler I have to buy lactase as well. I have always known that pharmaceutical companies weren't exactly examples of highly ethically run entities (my family has brought forth 4 generations of doctors, imagene our Christmas dinner conversations), but since the current crisis I have pretty much lost all faith in classical western medicine and its scientific foundation.

Powerful video! Wow. I love the perspective of food being our medicine. I am a huge foodie so food has been my pleasure, but recently I've been seeing food as fuel for my body because my focus is on having more energy to do things. It's been really fun and empowering to make my own meals and I am feeling more naturally drawn to doing so. Sometimes it can be overwhelming especially when you go into perfectionist mode to heal your gut for example and that just leads to burn out and falling off the wagon. Watching this video I can tell that this journey will last for generations. So the healthy choices we make now and are able to make a habit out of will be passed on to our descendants who will have that as a foundation to take forward into their own lives. And so on, until our bloodline reaches optimal health/perfection. I am glad to be reminded of that and to really keep that promise to yourself to keep going, no matter how many times you need to hop back on. And I agree, a short period of cold-turkey is really helpful in making that change. So much good stuff, I loved listening to this information! I want a career in nutrition because I have always loved food and it has been a great tool in my self-healing. It's amazing that we are so blessed to be able to choose what goes into our bodies, even one small food-swap at a time.

The Aurvedic diet is somewhat similar to the Alkaline when I cook food I use the micronutrients such as key lime, Himalayan sea salt, savory, oregano, Basil, avocado, All these combinations assist with digestion! That’s what’s soo awesome about the Alkaline lifestyle

If the AMA could get on board with "Food as Medicine" and we could get regulation against junk foods, especially in schools, it would not only be ethical, but pay off huge financial benefits.

Good luck trying to shut down Mcdonald's, KFC, Taco Bell, and Wendy's. There's a reason why organic and all-natural food is expensive.

Gaming With Balance no need to get these fast food restaurants shut down, nobody is forcing you to eat there. What you put in your mouth is your choice. You decide if you want to eat healthy and be healthy, or eat junk and feel like crap.

Peter I agree that the AMA needs to accept "Food as Medicine," especially beyond what current Dieticians are taught (Food Pyramid). AMA needs to accept Natural Medicine (Naturopathy) rather than being ruled by Big Pharma.

Lois King - Absolutely, AMA practically single-handedly created lobbying in our country. Any wonder that medical doctors make more and more and more, while PhDs earn less than plumbers?

If this information were made available to all of our schools, it would save our children's future and perhaps even our country because this has become a national security issue - in my opinion.
