Usada Forum will present the Firefly’s Life Initiative, we will join you on a journey to understand how an eco&community based tourism and architecture initiative is contributing to a local balinese community's culture and nature sustainability, shedding the light on the lessons learned and an aspired model that can be replicated elsewhere.
Inspired by the bright light & magic that this little awe-spiring insect bears in between its wings, and the wisdom learned by observing the firefly's different life’s metamorphic phases, Taro's Firefly's Life initiative was birthed to aid the diminishing number of these bioluminescent fireflies, as well as the depleted surrounding nature that represent this special creature’s habitat.
Wayan Wardika: Born and raised in Bali, Taro Village, after 35 years away from home, returned back to save the fireflies.
Henzo Rashed: A Nature and Multi-Cultural savvy, utilizes community based and eco-tourism to enable local communities sustain their livelihood and surrounding environment.
Jaime Noriega: An architect from Peru. After 20 years working in London and Lima's corporate world, began focusing on architecture that helps people reconnect with nature, community, and themselves.
