Your pacing is perfect. I have watched videos twice as long that didn't encompass half of what you can deliver in 23 minutes. It's not too fast or too slow. There are sections one viewing is fine for, and sections I go over a couple times, but never do I feel the need to jump ahead. Thanks!

I've never had formal art instruction, so this way of using circles to get different perspectives might be well-known, but not to me! This is by far one of the most useful tutorials I've ever watched and I can't wait to put the technique into practice!

Well well well girlfriend. Wish I'd sat next to you in crafts class in high school! Lol. Emma, you have completely demystified the floral perspective for me, after I've suffered for 2 years NOT knowing how. The light circles were a stroke of genius! Thank you! I'll be practicing this all weekend and it still won't look like yours, but! That's why we all paint differently! Thank you SOOOO much again for all you do! You have simplified watercolor to the point of me feeling positive about my talent. :)

This was so helpful and I loved that you did the blooms in a more bold wash rather than a paler wash. Thank you for giving such a clear explanation of perspective in loose florals. I'm just learning and hadn't grasped that concept.

Love your videos. Just started to attempt watercoloring and you were my first teacher. You make it simple and loose and easy to follow. By the way, I have had a bad nervous habit of clearing my throat too often and have developed Disphonia which is a speech condition that they don’t have a cure for. I have had allergies all my life which I blame for it. I wish I could stop it and have tried many ways through meditating and yoga, voice exercises and it still gets the best of me. Hope this comment is helpful and not hurtful because I just love you as a person and a teacher. Your work is beautiful love, from Florida.....

The shifting of the center point of the circle helped a lot in thinking about this. Can you talk a little about flowers that are turned a bit more to the side to where the near petals are starting to obscure the center, but not a full side view? SO the near petals are kind of starting to turn to the same direction as the far petals (is that clear?)?

  • @CarolynsArtAdventures

What I mean is when you start to see the backside of the near petals as well as the front side of them.

Loved your video, again!😊 BUT, please, you need to stop clearing your throat constantly! Not only is it unpleasant to listen to (try watching 3 of your videos in a row and you'll know what I mean), but also it is actually hurtful to your voice. For most people it is just a habit, but let me tell ya, it won't make your voice any better. It'll get worse with time and you'll become hoarse one day (maybe you're already on a regular basis?) Nonetheless, I enjoy your content 😊 and your little one has the cutest smile 😍

Sasha bam thanks for liking the video. But you have to understand I’m only human and I’m doing a lot of talking and sometimes I need to clear my throat. You can either have a video with with explanation and the unpleasant noises or no explanation at all. I’m sorry for being so blunt but I’m tired of people criticizing things I can’t control. I’m a busy mom and am busting out 3 videos a week during nap time whether I’m sick or have allergies. It happens.

@@EmmaLefebvre my dear.. I didn't mean to criticize you in a way that would hurt you, I'm sorry and I really appreciate all the work you do. I didn't mean that you clearing your throat is annoying either. It's just that "voice" is my job and I understand why you're doing this. I'm working with professional speakers and I just wanted to point out that your habit is going to cause real damage over time and that you actually HAVE control over it. There are ways to get rid of the need to clear your throat all the time and for many people becoming aware of how much they're actually doing it, is a first step. I'm sorry to say that but it is not only "sometimes" you're doing it. And again, I didn't mean to hurt your feelings, I'm just concerned.
