Thank you for posting this series. The joy of practice will eventually overtake seeking relief from entertainments.....Which is in no way a belittling of the arts, but a way of referring to how degrading comedy can be, a fine line often taken for granted. Comedy is harder to master than tragedy - truly uplifting comedy, that is.

Thanks, excellent information. It seems so many Chinese martial arts operate on Qigong principles -VingTsun (Wing Chun) is one that uses the principles of what is taught here. It's good to know how to defend one's self, but really there is so much more to these arts than fighting. I'd much rather forgive than fight. Plus, what a better world it would be if we all could bless others and think about their good and how we could help each other. Blessing others and helping them may well be the secret to health and healing, it could also be the secret to stopping any pandemic.

I really like this series, it's very informative and has helped me understand so much better. However, I would like to say that not everyone's parents are good, supportive and loving parents and sometimes, it's best not to continue communication for various reasons such as manipulation, abuse, etc. Just thought I would leave that short message for some who might be feeling guilty and shouldn't. ♥

I understand that the mind is used to move qi and I am confidant I am doing so in the microcosmic orbit. My question is: in instances where we are learning a new sequence (like 8 Pieces of the Brocade in my case) and concentrating on form and not familiar with the where we should be placing our minds - do we still derive the same benefit as if we were able to focus our minds more deeply on moving qi? Many thanks. Your teachings are a true blessing.

What i feel is,Rather than looking @ the benefits of whatever you learn as a beginner.. First thing first is to understand what u train... Postures first In Ba Duan jin, later focus on breath, then comes the mind / YI

You have to THINK to learn. Once you have learned movements, then you have to THINK to train your breathing. Over time, you will coordinate the breathing and movements without thinking and enter the stage of moving mediation. Thank you. 4-hour full length DVD: www.amazon.com/dp/B09JT5FSXZ
