I think he hit all the high points, but boy what a shotgun blast of information. This vid might be good to give a person an idea of the topics they need to focus on, but not to great at giving out the information itself. It shouldn't be assumed that a new driver taking their "lesson 01" already knows and understands what the apex of a curve is, for instance. Such a thing requires a visual aid. Great initial effort though! This content is long overdue for the game series.

I really love Phil! The pace notes are more detailed than in DR1. I prefer the corner severity called out before the turning direction, I think I process how to set up the car depending on severity and then follow the visual line. It is also great to hear the complexity of the track being reflected in Phils voice, like he sounds stressed or concerned when the going gets hard. This just bypasses my need for judging and planning a set of corners because I already know it is going to be hard by his inflection and then I really absorb his notes. Great job on the pace notes and voicing in DR2!

Hello! Thank you broo, that is what I was searching for, the autopilot info's meanings. For example when he said 180 left4 I didn t knew what it means. Now I know that 6 is least severe and 1 most severe+the numbers like 30 50 100 meaning the distance between corners. Now I can be much better. In any case, my best results are for not 63th worldwide. I have like 10 top 100 rankings. I am currently dowing all nations and tracks and as we speak, I am in USA at the New England location just finished Hancock Creek Burst. My best result in NE is 150th. I am using automatic and just keyboard, I would be super happy to finish top 50 in some tracks, we will see. P.S. I do only 1 race x track so some results at least for my oppinion, are really amazing if I finish top 100 and also good top 300.

Play this game with Dual shock 4 and feel the pain. On top of that, despite the game being hard as fuck, they decided not to include a driving school in the game itself. Instead, made a series of videos in which a pro player just records the gameplay of him playing the game with a full $2000 setup including Gears, pedals, steering wheel and what not. Gran Turismo is cheaper than this game and still has a incredible driving school which will make you a pro driver within days.

judging from how loose his handrake and gear shifter are in this video, it looks more like a $199 Walmart bargain bin package, and btw, it is not a tutorial, but a preview of a tutorial. He spends no time on the various turn severities and basic planning and execution for each. A tutorial would show some theory and explanations beyond gameplay video, but this is simply a gameplay video.

The co-driver is ages too late sometimes, it's often an agony to drive master times without knowing the track by heart, because of the co-driver being either too late or the pacenote being plain wrong, sometimes a left 3 is a left 2 tightens even with optimal racing line, and sometimes a right 4 tightens is a right 6.

I noticed a couple things, the co driver callouts are not explained anywhere. What DC or close or open means, or the number called out with every number. What's the scale of severability? 1-6 is what it appears to be for me but it doesn't seem consistent from track to track. Also, I noticed the clutch is barely used in this video but you said to turn it on? Sorry for my bombardment, I just picked up the game and am so lost

What will you do for Dirt Rally 3 unless you plan on continuing 2.0 after Scotland? Are you still going to split the game between rallycross & rally or make separate games for each, good with variety but it makes each mode more lacking than it could have been. Personally I feel 2 stages per country is a bit low and would like to see more per location in the next game. If you plan on using the same engine for Dirt Rally 3 i'm also ok if you add all 1 & 2.0 stages into 3, FOR FREE.
