I forgot to mention in the video, but did anyone else notice how the lighting didn't really change? A lot of the other performances used strobe lighting that hit with the music. I'm glad Larry and Laurent didn't (I bet they requested that if they had any say in it) because I think it's harder to appreciate the details they put in with distracting lights. Plus sometimes it seems like the lights are moving and the dancers aren't (even if the dancers are).

So glad to hear you're doing better. Loved every moment of this performance, especially Lau's moments on the floor & Larry's portrayal of Lau's pain. I'm particularly glad they avoided their signatures; I'm certain they'll make appearances later in the competition. They started filming for the show at the beginning of the year, the breakup occurred prior to the filming. I noticed the change in Lau the moment it happened. They've since gotten back together.

I think what makes them unique & difficult to beat is the fact that though they're twins they dance completely different styles but are able to mimic or copy each other. Like you I watch Larry separately then Laurent then both together. If you don't you miss some wonderful details. They say twins often develop their own language and I believe truly for Les Twins music and dance is they're language. They just happen to share it with all of us.

that break dancing move they did is called The Flare.

The move is called a leg flare. Laurent does it a lot. Larry hates strobing. Every time he's dancing he requests it be turned off. Also if you look closely you can tell Laurent is injured and favoring the right knee he damaged a while back. I'm sure they were glad to have time between shows to recuperate.

What I love about this channel is that you really get them. When you talk about having to watch the sets more than once and focus on a twin the entire time for the way they do thing pull moves differently, or accent another’s. The moment you mentioned how Larry never goes to the ground I was like “THANK YOU, FINALLY SOMEONE ELSE GETS IT!”

I am proud of them too I think its the fact that they are talented,they work super hard, the twin connection is unique, there is something relatable and not all talented people are lucky enough to be recognised so despite all the possible setbacks as I don't think they were meant to be mainstream but somehow they just took it! There is something very unique, inspiring, relatable and its undeniable and they keep their inner child alive. That's something we all would love to do. Etc etc etc etc

This whole show was filmed in January and at that time Laurent and Jessica were broken up. They were in Hawaii together for the workshop in December and something happened between them (they had a big fight) and she left within two days but they got back later in January

yes I was totally surprised by Larry doing that breakdance move. I was like wait what? They didn't do one signature move so I can't wait for that to happen. I love the song too. Neyo was a little annoying saying this performance was more emotional than he has seen. I'm like dude shut up and find a hat to go over that milk dud you call a head...lol Ive seen them very emotional before. It seemed like a plug for Laurent to speak about his boo. Iin case you were wondering Jessica is back with Lau....that break up was short lived. Loved the react too

lol! I guess he hasn't seen that many of their performances! Maybe he's mostly seen their WOD performances?Other than 2016 those are more fun and definitely not as emotional as this was. Yeah he does! I think he probably knows them for their WOD performances, since they're mostly fun and less emotional (except 2016)

I'm with you! I have to watch their videos 3 times. I concentrate on Laurent, then Larry, and the 3rd time I try to watch the space between or around them because I find it makes it easier to see how in sync they truly are and how they differ when they do similar but not the same moves. This is my 2nd vid of you and I really like your reactions (mostly b/c mine are similar lol). Thanks!

Did anyone see Fik-Shun? Oh boy replayme I don't mean to hijack the post but I felt there was something slightly phoney about his emotions. Unlike Laurent's which seemed completely real and I'm not just saying that because I love them. Don't get it twisted I love him. His smile can light up anyone's day and he is a great dancer and I truly believe he's the only one that MIGHT be able to give Larry a run for his money with his balance and isolation moves. Again, I really like him. Been a big fan since SYTYCD just wondering if I was the only thinking it was a little phoney.....carry on lol

Haha no I get what you mean. I think there was real emotion that inspired Fik-Shun's performance (and we saw that a little when the judges talked to him after) but it didn't come through as well in the dancing itself. It felt a little too dramatic and not genuine enough (I also wish he didn't pick such a popular song, it felt a little cheesy and didn't let the dancing speak for itself). I think for these shows they really push for a dramatic backstory (happy or tragic) so Fik-Shun might have felt like he had to really put on a dramatic show. I think he did really well but the heart didn't show through enough. It was technically a really good performance.

I think she just wanted to ask if he was familiar with them, she doesn't know every video they've been in. Plus if he somehow had time to mention that he'd worked with them, then it might seem like he was favoring them. We also have to remember that this performance was like barely 2 minutes long and we're used to seeing (and hoping for) 5-10 minute performances from them. I think they did awesome with the time they had especially, and I hope they get more time as the competition goes on and competitors leave :)
