Saw him twice. Jaw hanging open for an hour and a half

Jeff Healey was a god. He was a MAGNIFICENT guitar player, and NEVER, EVER complained about his condition. I had the incredible pleasure of meeting him. He was just such a happy person and he brought joy to everyone around him. So missed.

I knew what a great electric blues player Jeff was, but holy cow. He nailed the authentic Les Paul more jazzy style - Incredible!

Wow that was something! It came close to making me cry. There are 2 incredible class acts and human beings. Les Paul was so gracious, humorous, kind and decent to all that sat in with him and Jeff Healy's talent was beyond belief. Much love and respect to both and may they both rip!

I've seen quite a few of these shows, and I've never seen Les Paul look as happy as here with Jeff Healey. I think Jeff Healey was over the moon, too. Thank you chris lentz for sharing this moment.

I realy miss Jeff - I would have liked to say hello and gived him a hug. Jeff touch my heart - yes he did ♥️

Jeff's style's unique . One in a million. Broke my heart to learn of his passing. A fascinating person, and one badass guitar player.

I just witnessed two guys communicating like birds through their guitars. I've seen a lot of these videos but this one has a real rapport rather than just someone coming and sitting in with Les. Wonderful.

Well Jeff was always a Jazz obsesso pre record contract and beyond amassing a archival quality collection of 78rpm records.

I'm from Toronto. Jeff Healy had a jazz blues club in Toronto called Healy's Roadhouse I think it opened in 2001. There was some great music to come out of that club, by Jeff and many other greats. The club is closed now. Jeff was a much loved man and a musical Icon in Toronto. When he passed in 2008, there was great sadness. He and his live music were truly loved and now missed. Thanks for this posting.

I was soooo lucky to see Jeff when he toured w/ Pure Prairie League & SRV @ Alpine Valley, '89 (I think). Sadly I also SRV's very last show @ the same venue. RIP, Jeff, Les & Stevie

Terrific. The arthritis hadn't 't gotten Les too badly at that point. Healey was excellent too.

He gets credit from nigh on everybody those who hears him/knew of him. Can't ask for more than that..!! Healey was and still is a musician's musician. True legends up on this stage.

Further proof that Jeff Healey was da real deal!

It's amazing,,, how incredible we human beings are made! Lose your eyesight, and othe sense take double-duty,, and in Jeff's case,, playing the guitar like a lap steel to boot!!! God don't make any junk!!!! RIP JEFF & LES!!!!

Jeff was a pure 24kt musical genius.

Brilliant! Two guitar geniuses, two generations, trading licks beautifully. I love this!!! Jeff was here for too short a time, but we are so lucky to be able to enjoy their legacy.

The love and respect between these musicians. Wow. It doesn't get any better than this.

Hopefully they headline together in heaven. RIP to two of the greatest!

Powerful band. LP is still playing with great aplomb here. He's still a smart ass and on his game. More than a few 'greatest guitarists' didn't fare too well guesting on LPs show. Jeff clearly wasn't one of them. No slackers in that band. Thanks for the show.

I went to see Jeff in Glasgow in the early 90's, I can't believe it was around 25 years ago man! and almost a decade since we lost him to the great gig in the sky, I bet those are some jams huh? He was a very special guy that is missed by many. Thanks for posting this video as it took me back in time for a while.

I sold furniture to Jeff's dad (or step dad, can't remember) 20 years ago. Man was he proud of his son.

Here are two guitarists that we miss BADLY. My love to Lou Pallo on rhythm guitar, as well.

Lou Pallo is the guy playing rhythm and you can tell he's a Django fan for sure. Sounds like a human metronome.

Tha was so enjoyable to watch, I miss them both😥

Not only was Jeff a killer blues/rock player but jazz was always his go-to music. He had one of the largest jazz record collections in Canada. Truly an amazing talent that is sorely missed. He and Les Paul are truly enjoying each others talent. They are communicating perfectly in musical notes and it's amazing to watch.

Don't know if it was Jeff's call, but he was one the very few who had the smarts to feature Les' signature song and let Les shine. Most guest artists at The Iridium would do their own thing and leave LP only able to comp a few chords and mostly drape his hands over the fretboard.

Les Paul 's playing goes without saying, but I didn't know Jeff had jazz chops also,he was underrated, but he was bad !

Just AWESOME! It brings back childhood memories listening to my Papa jamming with his friends on his electric guitar.

Remarkable document of humans freely engaged in creating music. Les Paul attracted the very best and viewing this tape reveals how in awe of music still was at age 80. These shows are precious imo and need to be more widely seen. Sadly the vocalist/trumpet player Abram Wilson died: On June 9, 2012 Wilson at the age of 38 succumbed to colon cancer, having married his long-term partner Jennie (née Cashman) the day before, Friday June 8, 2012" en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abram_Wilson
