That's how I first came across his music as a teen in the 90s. I also had an English teacher in high school that took an interest in me.. I stood out and was mostly bullied by kids and ignored by teachers, she told me Leonard Cohen was her favorite singer. I wish I had of known more about him back then

A natural masterpiece of music.

This was absolutely the best concert I have ever been to. The privilege of seeing him sing at the State Theater in Detroit in June 1993 was like a religious experience. After the concert, we waited outside in the back of the theater for Mr. Cohen and all of the band to come out; and it was worth every second. Not only was Mr. Cohen kind enough to autograph the concert program, but the gentle way he shook my hand, thanking me for coming, and the sincere way he looks into your eyes while he says it. Loved this and will never forget the magical experience. How I so wanted to get on that bus with them and take that journey with them the rest of the way.

I remember it from that movie as well from when I was a kid. Iooked it up the nbk soundtrack n found it. I had no idea what it was called or anything but for some reason the sound of it stuck out in my head this afternoon.

When he utters "Something absolutely wrong" I feel like letting loose, forget every care in the world and unleash the inner mad self! Truly a gifted human being and musician.

Leonard Cohen was the miracle. ❤

the most beautiful song ever

Looking back now, what a privilege what it was to hear this first as a twelve year old boy while watching Natural Born Killers start and it stuck with me ever since. Hypnotic and wise to the heart. And this is just one of countless other gems this highly gifted soul gave us. RIP Leonard Cohen.

Like most of you the movie NBK introduced me to this song. 20+ years later and being on the other side of a shitty relationship I now understand what it's about. I guess when you're ready to hear it you actually do.

I can not get this song off my mind. For weeks now, every moment of quiet - this song creeps in. ... I barely even noticed it first time I heard it. Weird how that happens.

I remember the first time i heard this song. We were somewhere around Barstow on the edge of the desert, listening Leonard Cohen, when the drugs began to take hold.

Fuck..so deep song, this is truth, most of us are passing our lives in the waiting for the miracle to come. While the life is coming around us, that's the song about - stop to wait the miracle to come every moment of your life but wake up and do the miracle by yourself.

Had this song in my head all day long, among with an occasional "First We Take Manhattan". Another sad passing that made 2016 a sadder year. RIP.

Deeply missed

An acquaintance I had back in the 90's turned me on to Leonard Cohen. I went through a bad divorce and listened to his music from this CD so I bought it. I played it over and over in the middle of the night when I was hiding and trying to run. It was too depressing for most of the people in my life, sort of macabre. Then in 2002, my 15 year old son, my Christmas eve baby was murdered. I dug it out and listened to it over and over and over. There is just something about his poetry, the music he puts it to that was really comforting. My youngest son and 2 of Zack's best friends all got "Zack Tat's". Lukas thought the art on this CD would have been a perfect tat for me. I lost that CD and have been looking for one at various stores.
