Leonard Cerullo, MD - Discusses Treatment for Pituitary Tumors
As highlighted in a recent New York Times Magazine article, pituitary tumors can be difficult to diagnose due to the vague nature and wide array of symptoms. Their treatment can also present challenges as a result of the distinct differences in the types of pituitary tumors. Size and the secreting or non-secreting nature of the tumor influence the appropriate treatment, either with medicines, surgery and/or radiation therapy or stereotactic radiosurgery. Dr. Cerullo briefly reviews the various types of pituitary tumors and discusses the treatment options available.

Thanks for your video...I'm one of your old patients from years ago and had the surgery.

@@williamcox833 Some what. I had lost a great deal of my peripheral vision in both eyes, more so in one eye more then the other. This is the symptom that led me to see a doctor. The surgery removed most of the tumor but I did have permanent vision loss. But not enough for me not to function normally. Good luck to you. 👍
