Leon Kossoff: A London Life | Piano Nobile
Piano Nobile is pleased to present a short film to accompany its exhibition, Leon Kossoff: A London Life (1 March - 22 May 2019). The film includes footage of the exhibition's co-curator, Andrew Dempsey, who discusses Kossoff's work and his background. It also offers an introduction to Piano Nobile's additional new gallery space at 96 Portland Road.

I spy Frank Auerbach in this video. Glad to see Kossoff on here. I hope there will be a major retrospective soon.

The two artists have been friends for a long time and have influenced each other’s works.

and Timothy Hyman, and George Rowlett, talking to Auerbach at 6.00. George had a minor part in Blow-up in 1966, when he was a painting student at the RA schools. You can see him in the tennis court scene.
For me (these things are very subjective), the most interesting British artist since Constable, Turner and Blake.
