here again after Ling Buyi.....the different from wulei than any other popular chinese actor was he's acting skill really showed ..he's so versatile as an actor ..an always can pull out difficult character,difficult emotional change soo damn well.... we cant found that in soo many popular chinese actor right now and he is soo young than others.. it show his dedication from very young age ..he can make ppl think that no one can play Ling Buyi and Ashile sun other than himself...i cant imagine either btw

Leo Wu played this role perfectly. You would never have thought he was only 21 when they filmed this drama. For that alone, it’s a feat. For being such a young actor, he’s very experienced as he’s had so many years under his belt.

I believe he was younger than 21 when they filmed this. Cdrama usually pre-produce their shows then it will take them a while for doing editing and dabbing and such before they aired it. Usually they do pre-production 1-2 years ago before the shows finally airs. So he was probably around 19-20 when they filmed this. But I agreed Wu Lei played his role perfectly. I can’t think of anyone else playing Ashile Sun.

Leo as Ashile Sun looks more mature while the modern him looks so boyish. He fits the role perfectly. The body build, horse riding, archery, fighting scene everything so perfect 😍❤️

A'Sun really make me want to know Leo more and more.....

I think he’s doing great as Ashina sun even tho he’s so young!!👏👏at times he does look very young and too pretty for the role, but his acting is very steady overall..especially the action/fight scenes are top notch 👍🏻very powerful at the same time graceful and his expressions during the fight scenes are 👍🏻👍🏻 And also the emotional scenes are portrayed very well!

The role of Ashile Sun fit Leo perfectly. It was like he was made for it. The amount of work and dedication he put in the drama, the emotions and action sequences, and minute details, and that too at such a young age, barely 20-21 yrs, he's amazing. Everything about this drama is amazing tbh. I cried watching him cry when his mom dies. That scene still haunts me TT. He's a great actor. I look forward to his future historical dramas.

i can honestly say i've never been too impressed with him in previous dramas..he was ok. But, he has grown up from a scrawney boy to fit THIS character pretty well. Can't believe he was only 20 when he filmed _The Long Ballad._ I'm blown away by how mature he looks and how mature his acting ability is. He's such a versatile actor too, with an ability to pull off all kinds of youthful and mature types of characters. His expressive eyes though. He can intimidate people with the intensity of his fierce gaze or completely melt hearts with his soft, playful stares. Love Wu Lei. My absolute fav.
