Lenten Series: Reading the Scriptures

"There is indeed an expectation and exhortation to us to read the Scriptures, not because it's an obligation or duty, but because it is the best way that we have of understanding and knowing the word, the mind, and the person of God."
In this third message of his 2024 Lenten series on the Scriptures, Bishop Alex continues to delve into why and how we read the Scriptures.

To trust God's promises we Christians need to fully understand WHAT THEY ARE! That's where the scriptures take us...and where we are empowered to reclaim the territory the dark side wants to inhabit! Thank you Bishop Cameron for this series. Much Christian survey data (ABS, Barna) tells us that Christian behavior is not transformed by charitable duties, attending church regularly, or other works-related acts, but by encountering the Word of God 4x or more weekly. The fruit emerges from the transformed heart of the Christian.--FHC from St Alban's Anglican Murrysville
