Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 9 Review: One of the Best Windows Laptops

Ғылым және технология

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon's size and weight make it great for travel. At only 14.9mm thin and weighing just 2.49 lbs, it’s so easy and convenient just grabbing this off my desk and bring it with me wherever I go.
I am very happy with this ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 9. It’s thin, it’s super light, performs great, looks great, and has awesome speakers. The Human presence detection feature is also very cool. If I were to nitpick, I wish there was a 15-inch option.

I wish Macs had a windows hello feature. I’m surprised FaceID isn’t a thing.

Rest assured, everybody other than Tim has been wondering for years. He's just trolling us at this point.

Do they make a usb Windows Hello camera with human sensor for desktops? I'd totally dig that for my desktop!

I haven't found one yet. Wonder if someone will make that. It's one of those things you didn't know you needed until you use it

Hey Mark, having used both 16:10 and 3:2 aspect ratios, would you say there's a significant difference between the two, is it worth dumping x1 gen 9 for titanium...

At the beginning of the video you said you haven't had any previous experience with other X1 versions but then later on when commenting on the keyboard you said the keyboard of this Gen 9 X1 has less travel than the other previous generations you had tested. So? Which one is right

It's a fingerprint magnet, choose Yoga Gen 6 instead.

Depends on priorities. The yoga gen 6 is noticeably heavier than the carbon. Also liking the feel of the magnesium alloy body on carbon more than the aluminum on yoga.

The only thing that anyone cares about Gen9 is the keyboard and your gave it short shrift.

Shorter key travel than older thinkpads, but got used to it very quickly. Can type on it comfortably.

i have been using it for about a month now and the keyboard is great, i admit a big change from previous models but still super comfortable to use, display is way better then previous models, actually only issue i pick on is the battery life is abysimal for the 4k version...
