Hi everyone! If someone has not been able to get into the advanced settings, try doing it a little differently: All this should be done in the open "More Settings" window of the bios for this laptop model 1)Press "Fn" once 2) press "R" and "N" keys once in turn 3)press "F10" key 4) press the "Enther" key. Then immediately re-enter the bios using the "F2" key. My bios is version "M3CN39WW" For some reason it worked for me only like this. Maybe it will help you too :) Thank you very much to the author of the video! It helped me a lot! I'm trying to figure out how to increase the Power limit, so that in all games the video card would consume full 125W of power instead of the fixed values of 60, 80, 90 watts for each game separately. If you are reading this post and can tell me how to do this, you will help me a lot with this, for which you will be very grateful :)

Yeah didn't work for me unfortunately. 8th gen 7i. Lenovo really doesn't want us going through those settings I guess.

In my IdeaPad Slim 5i 13500H, the advanced option in the bios comes and goes. I am utterly confused as it is not consistent. Please help me to get the advanced option in the bios if any of you know, how I can get that.

WOW! good stuff man!! Does this mean we can finally use this to utilize higher frequency RAM!? I have been toying with the idea of using SREP to use DDR5-6000mhz RAM but I really want to avoid that approach if I am able.

honestly i've been flying around a lot and haven't had time to play with it, there are quire a few things to toy with though! I know the visible ram expansion is only 1 slot when you open it up. I did NOT remove the motherboard to see if there was another slot on the opposite side and basically assumed the 1 slow was soldered ram. Let me know if you figure anything out!

@@WPIManiacMagic If you have the Ryzen version the memory is pretty freaking fast. It's 6400 Mhz LPDDR5 and yeah it's soldered in the slim models

Hi. Will this work on Lenovo Legion 5i Pro 2023 model with i7 13700HX. I want to access the XMP options for it. Since i have upgraded my gaming laptop myself with a 64Gb RAM-kit Kingston Fury Impact 5600MHz 2x32Gb but in task manager it runs at 4800MHz but in cmd memory test and in cpu-z it says the speed is at 5600MHz.

Read down in the comments, there is an alternate way that worked on other legion bios that might work for you.

Does Lenovo have manual with advanced bios settings explained? I'm looking to stretch battery life longer in silent mode. Right now it's still jumping up to 4 Ghz in silent mode.

They do not. Typically you have to investigate each setting if you don't understand them. There are a few places to limit a few voltages but extending battery life isn't usually what I am after

There is a way of limiting the processor to boost. You have to enable an advanced power setting by changing a registry key and then you can select the amount of boost you want or you can completely disable boost as well

i think the reason why the bios with touchpad is terrible because it's prob 60 or lower hertz. Atleast that is what i think

Can you undervolt directly from bios? Because I enable the overclocking menu and disable undervolting protection but undervolt menu both in intel XTU and throttlestop still grey out.

So far no xtu support that I can find. There are a lot of bios settings but I haven't messed with it yet.

yeah, no xtu support from intel for H series since intel 12th gen. I want to change the value in undervolt section at the bios but still confused whether it is using hex or numeric value.

from what i have seen you can't undervolt this CPU ... so far ... very sad. Luckily the cooling is working out pretty well.

That is what worked for me. What laptop is it? I read the older Lenovo laptops you had to hold down Fn and press each key horizontally from q to p , a to l , then z to m , let go of Fn and press F10 . Click save changes and reboot into BIOS.

The older way was Advanced BIOS options can be accessed by going into more settings, hold down Fn and press each key horizontally from q to p , a to l , then z to m , let go of Fn and press F10 . Click save changes and reboot into BIOS.

On my Legion Slim 5i (2023) I have to press 3 times Fn+(N+R) (all pressed at the same time) , then F10 and save. It doesn't seem to work every time, and less than three times is sometimes enough, so I guess the UEFI is a bit flakey about reading the input. Just trying again solves the problem. Very rarely have to try more than twice.
