I never thought of that but maybe it's because in my country, depressing lyrics include alcoholism, domestic violence and suicide. To me, these songs on the other hand demonstrate the mental capability of making the best out of a bad situation and taking it with some humor. The other song you mentioned also reflects the same mentality of just smiling at "The Show" even if it is a shit show.

Hey, people! You should stop saying that this song only got popular because of Shaira. This was popular for more than a decade already. And stop acting as if Lenka is indebted to Shaira, because it's the other way around. Y'all should just be grateful that Shaira's song is back on streaming platforms after settling an arrangement. Lenka doesn't deserve your hate. Also, tell Shaira and her management to be humble, at the least. Her newly released song speaks arrogance. Learn to accept mistakes. Back here again after it got issues with the other song title " selos" Filipino version. This song, i used to hear it every morning at home when i was a little. My mom really likes this song. She even make her own version with our dialect because she doesn't undestand English. My mom has bunch of dvd for the 90s songs. For those people who are saying that lenka got jealous over " selos" song because it got viral? I don't think so. It's her and her team hard work, and her mv got more views than the Filipino version, so why would she be jealous? The mv of the Filipino version got 2 million views Within 12 days, it is because of people curiosity. Like me, I never hear about " selos" until yesterday when I see on my feed back and got issued. So I took a look and listened what it sounds like. I might say, it sounds good for bisaya and Muslim tase. Because they're really into disco. But In Spotify and iTunes, it doesn't even get a few million. Lenka has the right to complain. Because they use her melody without her consent. Not to mention, they earn money from it, which is inappropriately. To all Filipino who bash lenka, try to put your shoes on her, and you will understand how it feels.

When I was in college my best friend always talked about her (Lenka) a lot and of course I was not able to seriously so focus because of my studies, now I understand that lenka tune is really my type.. In 2024, I can still hear this song. I really feel nostalgia attached to the notes and lyrics of this song. This song seemed to take me to 2014, when at that time I often shopped at supermarkets and heard this song many times while walking through the spacious and comfortable supermarket aisles. Those were fun times and days with a very light load on my mind and I really enjoyed it.

I can feel the goosebumps when reading it because i know what you felt when you heard that song, for me when i listen to outside by Ellie Goulding ft. Calvin Harris it brings me back a sweet beautiful memories to 2015 me and dad had to listen to it every time we go to super market on the radio.

It is not another version. Nothing of the lyrics mean the same. Your daughter learned about the song "Selos" and it is your duty now to educate her that the melody is stolen. That is, it's used without permission and rendered in a context far different from the original

And yet, Shaira's fans are defending her because she just did a 'Cover Song'. Do they even know what a cover song is? A cover song is when another artist sings the same song with their own rendition. The melody and LYRICS are the same. Shaira literally took the melody and created her own LYRICS. That's not considered a "Cover Song'.

I'm here because of "Selos" and I Think this is more better. It's so relaxing 💞😍
