LENGTHENING THE TROT WITH BEAU

Once the horse is learning to properly connect, round up over his back, and come to the bit with soft and elastic contact, it’s time to start introducing the accordion-like stretching of his body and frame.
This week JJ shows us that Beau is ready for the new question of can you lengthen and shorten your stride and frame. JJ also helps us understand that a real lengthening comes from the horse being even in both hind legs to the reins, which is directly related to the horse’s ability to bend in both directions.
