Lend-Lease Aircraft / War Thunder

Ойындар

The Lend-Lease policy was a program under which the US provided Allied powers with military equipment and strategic resources. Officially, President Roosevelt signed the Lend-Lease bill into law on March 11, 1941… but in reality things were slightly more complicated, especially with aircraft. Years before the start of the war in Europe, the US had already begun supplying friendly nations with American planes. For example, during the Second Sino-Japanese War, the Air Forces of the Republic of China purchased more than a hundred Curtiss Hawk III biplanes, and later bought a batch of Martin 139WC bombers as well. Despite considerable difficulties, the Chinese also succeeded in setting up the production of the American Vultee V-11 attack aircraft and Curtiss P-36 monoplane fighters.

I really liked the small reference I found that link to a special event I went to at 6:00. The 2 Lancasters shown here are of the last 2 airworthy Lancasters on earth, one belonging to Canada and one to the UK. They flew together for the last time back in 2014, I remember seeing them together at the Eastbourne International Airshow, however the Canadian plane did not look as extravagant as it does there. It was a very touching moment back then to see them fly together in a peaceful sky that they had worked so hard to protect, and this reference here really reached my heart back to that moment. Its my birthday today too, thank you very much Gaijin, this is the best present you could have given me

Agreed with above commenter. I believe this has been answered before on hotline - because no plane can outrun bullets, and the penetration is almost set in stone, it's unlikely to increase penetration. I think they specifically said that it was negligible and that they didn't want to burden their servers with those extra minute calculations.

Hey Gaijin, an idea for additional aircraft. The B/24 is one of my favourite bombers, could you please consider adding the consolidated Liberator to the British tech tree? Or perhaps the Flying Fortress? Maybe even the B/25? I’d relish at the opportunity to fly a coastal command Consolidated Liberator in Simulator battles.

I also would love to see that. Especially since the RAF had some Coastal Command B-24's outfitted with a 20mm Hispano gun pack, RP-3 rockets, etc. While regular Bomber Command ones also had some early modifications such as having a quad browning .303 in the tail and dorsal positions. Such a fun aircraft.

Hey Bruce, would you mind doing me a favor? Something is not right with torp bombers, I do all the correct steps, go to launch, but the never launch I play naval RB, using a B-34, and the tutorial torp bomber won’t work either. Mind checking in with the devs about this?
