Sadly the Yorkton dollorama is just about done for the year for fishing gear. Maybe next summer. However happy news I FINALLY hooked my first trout! But he unhooked before I could net him. On a mini orange and white spoon! Granted an old man at the pond was feeding the fish bread so they were pretty excited... I'm still happy though!

@@SaskFisher It was a tiny little 7 incher, The bigger and more mature fish would just watch my bait swim by... safe to say that's why they got so big. 😅 Time to try mini marshmallows since the really big trout were going crazy for the bread crumbs the old man was throwing... Or maybe time to try and get those mini top water cricket walking baits off Aliexpress...

I’ve caught more walleye on the red devil Len Thompson then I ever expected to. Like to fish them in weed flats and bays because you get the instant action in that shallow weedy water

We have used spoons for walleye all my life. Red or black five of diamonds was the lure of choice. Mostly used jigs in rivers and at night. Keep on fishing with your camera rolling!

Dollarama is where is get 99.99% of my gear as I don’t feel so bad when I lose them in the weeds or on a bunch of logs. I’ve only caught pike and bass but I’ve caught fish on them when others useing more expensive gear is getting nothing.

I wouldn't expect much difference between performance with brands of spoons...especially if they're the same size and color. Now take chatterbaits....jackhammer>original or other variants pretty much all the time....the jackhammers always vibrate even at low reetrieve speeds....the cheap ones often need a tug to get them going and have to be burnt to keep them going.
