This franchise was made back when games were good, and only people who get that would make a game like this, so you get nice things. There are lots of other games like this, like Money Island, Thimbleweed Park, Broken Age, Grim Fandango, and more.

@@O1OO1O1 games are still just as good its how there played nowdays... maybe you should try VR with a PC, you will start to "adore" every little detail, i remember playing skyrum in VR and i sat down on my floor around an in game campfire and ate some "real life" bread and and dranked a bit of wine looking at the stars,,, but sometimes a wolf would sneak up on me so i had my bow ready VR is amazing if you really give it a try :),

I AGREE 100%! The backgrounds are another hilarious reason this game rocks. The "innuendo" is perfectly done, and the certain background items are as you said they are easy to really love. The early iterations of this game were so way ahead of their time! This was one awesome series! Sierra did a stellar job front to back, top to bottom, and beginning to end!

I find this game hilarious. Not in sex or plot, just how this one relaxed dude just finds solutions and they work and it helps everyone around him.

Been with Leisure Suit Larry since the first one on my Amiga. Have all of them and hope they go on forever.

I still remember playing Larry on my friends amiga 500 back in 1990. Took a while for games to get to small towns in scandinavia back in the day, and the amiga was a big upgrade playing on in regards to my old commodore 64 with tape deck that i had given up on 2 years earlier.

They need to turn this into a movie staring Rob Schneider as Larry, it would be a hit and relaunch his career again.

That would have been much more socially acceptable 20 years ago, probably wouldn't fly today lol.

This game was cool! I'm a big fan of how they managed to adapt Larry for the modern day, including all the social commentary on the world of online dating and technology. The art style was fantastic, the writing was excellent, and the jokes and references were funny. The game had nuance to it, and it's clear that the developers are well-versed in making adventure games fun.

I think the Instacrap and Farcebook was a little too heavy-handed though. Even the name La Costa Lotta from the sixth game was more subtle!

O meu não entra de jeito nenhum naquele túnel dentro da máquina de lavar. Já desinstalei o jogo e recomecei 3 vezes seguindo esse vídeo e dá o mesmo erro. Quando coloco pra ele entrar no túnel ele diz que que não entrará sem saber a direção . Já conversei com todos personagens que falam do túnel e nada adiantou.

I’ve played them all and loved them all just upset it felt so short. And I only used the walkthrough for 2 items. But I liked it. I wish they would redo police quest! I loved that game

I got the original Leisure Suit Larry end of 1980's when i went with my father at the evening in the factory where he worked, and copied the game on floppy disk. it was very difficult to play since i needed to translate from english to finnish with dictionary, even passing the start questions took me around 2 weeks..this is how i learned english. Now i am 41 years old and i realized that i am actually older than Larry :D "After your cab ride, you may be low on funds, but you've got the looks, the lines, and the leisure suit. You're in town to find true love. And if you happen to get lucky along the way, that's okey. After all, you're nearly 40"

Similar story here. It took me several tries to get through the questions, even my older simblings tried to help me not knowing I'm trying to play an age gated game. I didn't know much English at the time, I was about 11 or 12 years old at the time. I had a copy of it on one disk for the Amiga but the game didn't even start on it's own, I had to load Workbench and then insert the disk and load it from there. Good old times :)

@Zbriu Those old Sierra games were just made to kill you. Heck, in that game you would die if you flushed the toilet! At least it is better than the infamous Ifnkovhgroghprm puzzle! Ahh, I used to replay all those old Sierra games every year or 2 in the days before KZread. Now I just watch a good let's play to scratch that itch:)

That scene along with the death that occurred if you didnt put it on before you slept with the whore taught me "when traversing widely known, yet untested waters, always wear your lifejacket." The death scene if you DIDNT take off the condom AFTER sleeping with the bitch taught me. "Only wear a raincoat if you need one."

I love love LOVE this series almost as much as the Sam and Max series! I hope they never stop making these games

Was surprised to see this on YT i always assumed these games were adult themed etc. Never actually played em.

I think this game gets better in the second half...sure, things are fun and new in the beginning, but tend to get a bit boring and longwinded after a while..then later on the story gets a bit better and the game moves into a better flow so to speak...liked it and being a Larry fan since the first game in the 80s they can make a sequel to this as far as i'm concerned..i kinda like the 'new Larry' :-)

Glad I got to watch you play it instead of purchasing it then finding out I don't like it.

Everyone in the comment section whines about the art style. I think It suits the game's style perfectly and It obviously playing omage to the old games. The only thing I don't like is th ending,I'ts very short. They should have done something more with it

That prune genius guy’s voice reminds me of Hoagie from day of the tentacle.

Only 35 minutes in... I thought Larry -- the creator of Eunuchs -- would be a little less clueless with a smartphone. To think of it, I wonder if it is not running Eunuchs under the hood. :-þ

Larry's commentary during the credits is about changing American presidencies. On Reagan: Ah good old Ronald. I wonder whatever happened to him. ...Oh... Oh my. And then... On Bush Sr.: Hmm... no. On Clinton: Mhm... Exactly. I would have! On Obama: Oh, that's new. On Trump: Who, HIM?

I remember visiting the Sierra Adventure Games headquarters on the way to Yosemite, and thanking them for Space Quest, and telling them that my 8 year old ass could figure out their Adult checking questions from LSL2.

People are complaining about Larry not looking like Larry heme being this tall clean-cut looking dude instead of a short stubby nosed whatever and I think add EV or somebody said this is how Larry is supposed to look or something someone can look it up I don't know

I’ve always had some aversion towards time-based “fish out of water”-stories. Not because I am against it in theory, but because a lot of the jokes and satire fall flat once you realize that the world they exaggerate also happen to be the world you live in. In other words: it is hard to laugh at something without distance and hindsight.

Now i want a sequel or something

On the ship it almost sounds like Lands of Lore 1 music. And nice to see BJ's doll wearing a suit akin to Stan's jacket from Monkey Island.

hey good observation! so that makes 2 monkey Island references inthis game...the other one is the dungeon scene (BJ/Faith/Larry) towards the end, nodding to the dungeon scene with Lechuck/Guybrush/Wally in MOnkey Island 2 ;-)

I don't know how I got here, nor did I know there were more modern versions of the Larry series around. Larry is so cringe, but its quite fun. This could be a movie - Love how they portray Apple in the game as Prune, and the iPhone as the PiPhone, Uber as Unter, Tinder as Tinber etc.

The deponia refence caught me off guard lmao

This game is the worst of the Larry series! Larry doesn't even have sex or it's him that is f$dfked! Okay, they wanted it modern I can understand but they didn't add the really mature theme like we used to know on Larry 7 for example. This game is more "innocent" and that's not the theme of the game series we know!

When timber shows matches in unter i click them and they say to buy the item. What will i do now?

Honestly, I really don't mind the art style nor the dialogues of the game. Also, the voice actor is also pretty spot on in my opinion. I just wish we was made shorter.

I expected to hate this. I watched the videos and I'm gonna buy it. I don't see anything I don't like other than taking out the titties and larry not actually getting laid. I can understand why when pixelated tits are free on the internet.. but it's not about just beating my meat. It's about.... I dunno earning those titties.

@@PopADoseYo That's because Neil Ross insists on everyone being Union or he won't work. We had that issue when we crowd funded Reloaded in 2012. Also whether you think the voice was better in 6 or 7 is your opinion and while I respect it, it is ultimately irrelevant to my point. It IS Jan Rabson, the original voice actor. Keep in mind he's 20+ years older. That does effect your voice

I didn't know there was another Larry game this year! When did this came out? Last Larry game I played was on PS3 - Box Office Bust. I'm a Larry fan myself. I wished Al Lowe wrote this, but this was better than Magma Cum Laude and Box Office Bust.

At around 1:52:00, they are referencing the schezuan sauce that mcdonalds brought back due to rick and morty. ALso that same guy's workout clothes has the kangaroo from Agrettsuko on it.

I wish they make larry like they did onn ps4 with the date shows and twiggy it was way more fun

By the way, according to LSL Reloaded, Larry was not a resident in Lost Wages, he just went there to get lucky. The whole thing about Lefty greeting him like a long lost friend is a misdirection. Germans learned to make good artwork (their early games looked bad) but they are still stuck at fanfiction writing level of writing.

According to the manual from the original leisure suit larry he leaves home at 40 after his mom sells all his stuff after he lived with her in her basement. I think the game is ok, but it sucks that Larry never gets laid, the creators even say that they want to avoid that aspect of the games with this one and the next one they are gonna make.

The 7th game is my fave

I love 7. It was the first one I played. But 6 is probably the better of the two.

I like it better than 2 and 5. I like the idea of it, even if he don't get laid (the world changed, for the worse). It's not like 1, 3 and 6 but it's not bad. Also the art work for me is better than 7 and reloaded.

How would not knowing Jesse Owens prove that you're not yet 18?

Really disappointed that I couldn't finish the game properly because of El Rey's game breaking key bug. They should really fix that, really spoiled an otherwise great experience that reminded me of the good old times playing Monkey Island & Grim Fandango.

I tried to like this one but it just seemed off. Not enough ladies, anime was off, ending was not that cool. This game had potential but they went the wrong route on performance. And Larry is all about performance. B)

I'm gonna get this game but a good yardstick for larry games: You should laugh out loud and you should feel compelled to crank one out even though there is better porn online. Both, at least once, by the time you've completed the game. I get a greater sense of accomplishment getting poor larry laid than getting laid IRL, except for the boat one where he gets laid like 10 times.

It seems Germans are really into the early adventure games, it seems that they can do decent artwork but the writing is not right. It’s missing that unmistakable Larry flawor.

This game, along with the Box Office Bust monstrosity, are the only Larry entries that I didn't finish. This game starts out promising, but you soon come to realise that Larry doesn't really belong in a modern setting, and he certainly doesn't belong in a PG-13 game

So I had several problems with the game, although I generally liked it (better than the Larry Lovage games). As a modern adventure game, it's pretty good, but interaction seems limited (which made the game easier, not a bad thing). In the old Larry games you could click on everything and get some sort of wisecrack comment (I know this is mainly a budget and time thing). The humor was okay (I like the idea of Larry being transposed from the '80s to today, kind of like an Austin Powers fish-out-of-water situation) but it was missing Al Lowe's special touch. And I mean that literally; remember the great narrator work in the previous talkie games? LSL6 and 7 were my absolute favorite (and contrary to popular opinion, Reloaded was a return to form), but Wet Dreams Don't Dry didn't do it for me as a Larry game. I know he's a lovable loser, but the ending was a major downer. And I know we all have to be politically correct and culturally sensitive nowadays, but I feel like the earlier Larry games were much sexier and felt naughtier (even while not showing much). It would have been nice to have dirty easter eggs a la Larry 7. Anyway, I don't know that this game did well enough that it will garner a sequel, which is a real shame. I always support the old school point-and-click adventure games, whether good or not. It's a dying art form which a lot of young people don't appreciate.

I didn't expect to watch all 5 hours. The ending was unsatisfactory though.

while I think to ask where do I go about even getting a digital copy. That's legitimate the couple listings on eBay are clearly bootleg scammer artists they are literally selling it as a pre-order. Despite the fact the games. Artie out on the market. One guy is in Italy. The other one I think was China.

Before the game called, 'Playboy' there was Leisure Suit Harry.. Think he was a cool playboy character 🤣
