For this video, it was f/8. It would really depend on what I'm doing, but I would also go as low as possible. I like the pop. I'd love to get to a place where I can come focus down to wide open haha.

Ha! You’re in my hood. HB pier is my go to spot. I think I might’ve been there that day, I’m surprised we didn’t bump into each other. California piers are great places to find a wide range of interesting subjects from fisherman to tourists to vintage binoculars, under constantly changing lighting conditions. Great vid, but bro, “My beach, my wave, go home“. 🏄‍♀️ 😂❤

In my opinion zone focus is ok on film but on digital you better shorten your zone atleast one stop.
