if it sounds weird and boring, put 2 layers of masking tape on the pcb (tape mod) and it'll make it sound like it has personality

I'm not too big a fan of the tape mod personally, or any mods of that kind in general. I prefer to just leave the keyboard stock and let it speak for itself, even if it doesn't sound the best.

these lego- i mean bricks keyboard would be so fun to build! Unfortunate i dont have the chance to get one :C anyways nice build TB! Love your vids as always, and your honesty within the reviews :3

Thanks a lot! It definitely was a fun build at least. I suppose if you can't get this one, you could always make a fake one by stuffing another PCB in real legos lol

@@TrashBuilds are your daily drivers $100 keyboards or much pricier? For the price, I believe this kit to sound quite nice. Not $300 custom keyboard nice, but $100 keyboard nice.

Much higher than $100. For the price this probably sounds great, but I don't have enough experience with $60 to know where the line is

I think price wise it's not bad at all, for me living in a country we're shipping goes from 25 usd to sometimes 80 usd the free shipping sale made the full kit quite appealing, seems like a good 100 dolar keyboard and even better when considering shipping costs. Haven't gotten mine in the mail yet, so how good it is still unknown to me but without a doubt better than my rubber dome.

It's definitely better than a cheap membrane that's for sure.

Jst is for numpad to work as just one board when physically combined

oh! That makes sense. Thanks. Though like...it would make more sense to include the JST cable in the numpad set wouldn't it? I'm willing to bet that more people buy the base board than they do the numpad.

My biggest issue with this board is the layout. I prefer my 60 to not have arrows, in fact i dont need physical arrows, hhkb arrows work fine for me, so getting the forced arrow keys suck

I think they're trying to appeal to as many people as possible and the lack of arrows might scare some people off. I know a couple people irl who use 65% specifically because it has arrows. Do you use layers on your HHKB though?

I am actually the opposite. I’ve been looking for sth like this. Its layout (the most bottom line) is exactly what I need as it is almost identical to the Apple Magic Keyboard.

I would support you but I spent all my money on a gaming pc already and buying the adam keyboard. I will donate soon.

How long did the delivery take?

It only took about a week for it to get to me (I'm in the US)

So weirded out --- Right before starting the KZread App which greeted me with the suggestion of this video, I was coming from the mail app after reading "Your order is on the way" from KBDcraft that I placed on Friday of last week. Very weird. In my case, just before hitting the submit button, I emptied my cart with the full kit of the Lily and instead went with the Adams base kit, no keycaps, ISO type PBC board because I found that the fully flat design of the Adams model looking less Fisher-Pricey, and if I manage to find the right keycaps, maaaaybe I get to end with something that looks a little less cheapy-toy-like. I know it's a long shot, so I'm keeping my expectations low. Having mentioned that your PC crashed multiple times while editing this video was a good move for you, given that your narration style which in other videos I found distinctively interesting, for this video it suffered from having an irritable/annoyance undertone (just a tad, nothing terrible.- constructive criticism). Nonetheless, I still enjoyed and liked the video. Cheers.

I bought the Adam and it was terrible and they refused a refund although it was in policy

@@TrashBuildsI’m not sure this comment, nowadays a PCB can be sold about $50-$70. At least I feel better than I paid $175 for a tray mount Tofu 60 barebones plus shipping
