Lego Technic Axle Sorter | Proof of Concept

Ғылым және технология

‪@akiyuky‬ 's LS-L407: • LEGO Automatic Liftarm...
Hi, this is a small proof of concept that showcases a pretty compact way to sort Lego axles. It's of course not 100% functional, since there's neither some kind of mechanism that places the axles on the conveyor belt, nor a working storage for the axles, but at least it's a concept...
Enjoy watching,

Hi everyone! This video is just a small proof of concept, because I didn't have much time in the last few days. Enjoy watching!

i recommend using more gearing to keep it from having a jitter effect as it rolls along also maybe add a hopper :D

Now we need an automatic feeder

Connected to a catching tray. Just fill the treaty with different sizes and place it where the axles drop. Then the automatic feeder will automatically pick them from the tray and drop them on the moving tray

Are you planning to work this out into a fully working machine? It's a neat concept, but I think when it comes to these types of builds, getting it from a prototype to a working machine is the real difficulty. Since that's where you start seeing reliability issues, and solving hose (especially with legos) is the usually very challenging.

Yep, the first step would probably be to extend the conveyor belt so that it is more reliable

that is cool. now we need an automatic loader and storage

Great PoC! If you got a wider belt, and some sort of feeder mechanism to drop the axles in place, it could be pretty efficient!
