He has a point when he says the newer, smaller sets are good for display so you can fit more sets on 1 shelf but smaller sets don’t fit the same Amount of play features for the children the sets are intended for and aren’t as fun as they used to be (for example with the newer Star destroyer being extremely small compared to the godly 2014 version)

I hate it when people think that people just buy the UCS venator for the Rex, yes the rex in the set is nice but so is the venator to be displayed, and people have the need to keep judging others for no reason, yes there are resellers but sometimes there are selling the Rex for decent prices, yes there are also people who overprice them but overall people need to stop judging so easily.

I agree. I also think that for $700 they could have thrown in a couple more minifigs, like an officer or another 501st clone. Also now people who are trying to sell their P2 Captain Rex from the venator (idk why they would sell him) are kinda unhappy because since they bought a $700 set they want a good resell price. Now i think it’s a good idea that Lego made a $15 Rex which is identical to the venator for such a cheap price. Now people like me who love the P2 Rex can get it for cheap, makes me love Lego even more because they’re trying to connect with the buyers. Except for the fact they make it for some extra money but who cares.

@@idk87792 well another issue is the exclusivity of the Rex I mean come on we seen so many other exclusive minifigures in UCS sets might as well like change the head or add a waist cape to it in the venator and not in the micro fighter

That’s true for everything in life, namely when the audience is of a younger crowd.

10:46 the problem is that in some countries, there are absolutely no good promos or deals which is unfortunate, for example in Canada you can wait for 2 years until they are retired and you still won't get any promotion except if the set has a hard time selling or it's black friday but in both cases you would only get like a 10% and the sets fly out in a minute because people are monsters. While in australia, they get promotions every week or so.

In my opinion I kinda don’t like the printing on the newer style but I don’t like those cloth waste capes

i literally scoured my local targets for the rex microfighter, lol! he’s perched on my display now and it makes me so happy to see him, especially for only $12.99

I dislike the realistic clones and think they look terrible. In my opinion P2 2020 is perfect 👌

I could care less if they didn’t add the patch from captain Rex’s head in the micro fighter.

I think its priced very fair. If you showed me that set without knowing the price I’d assume $500+

I don’t think clones need arm printing even named commanders. They could have solved the UCS Venator debacle by putting out a Captain Rex with blue arms leaving the arm printed variant exclusive to the UCS. And arguably I’d rather have the more basic Rex because it matches the P2 Commander Cody and other Clone figures we have out right now. Personally I don’t even care about the exclusivity of figures either. If I was buying the Venator the build would be my main reason for purchase. Imo arm print on clones is a little too much detail.

I completely disagree with the exclusivity argument for rex. He's an extraordinarily popular character with no accessible way to get him. It makes sense for him to be readily available for the public. The exclusivsivity of the set comes with yularen as well as, you know, owning the 600 dollar set itself. A niche figure and a set that isn't going to be remade for a long time should be enough, and if you're upset you paid 600 for 1 minifigure, you've got no one to blame but yourself

I agree everyone should own a Rex and I like that hes in a cheap set. I would have liked to see something exclusive about the particular Rex in the Venator though. Would have been cool if he had his poncho or something. I’d compare it to the way they did Din Jarin. He’s a super popular character that everyone wants and should own. There’s a really nice version of him for dirt cheap in a microfighter but the UCS Razor Crest one has a few unique features that make it special. Both are great figures, but theres a difference.

2:33 I wouldn’t say I dislike the new P2 helmets but they are kinda goofy. I think the old ones are better. Also whoever says helmet holes suck are VERY wrong. Sure they may LOOK ugly to you, but it allows for some cool accessories like rangefinders that make clones even better looking

Studstache I have a some what weird question but when you by lots do you want sets with the lots or just minfigures?

In my opinion Lego should not make iconic or well-known characters exclusive and the Lego community should focus more on rare minifigs that it exclusive. I think in a UCS (This is a example a V-wing UCS you know your ordinary figures that you spect a clone Trooper but then a snowtrooper captain Rex lego should make of outfits that rarely came out in sw) :)

10:41 Great video and I think the sets they got the worst of the Lego price hike were the $25-100 sets. Either they were overpriced but not lacking in pieces/mini figures or value is not equal to the set price. But all can be subjugated by waiting for sales.

I had the 2013 Rex without knowing what it was when I was younger and I like colored on it and would take his pieces and use them for other figures and I lost all of his parts and it makes me so mad
