The Republic Propaganda Theory works better to describe the 2003 Clone Wars Micro-Series. The Jedi are almost invincible, the action scenes are very exagerated, and Grievous is portrayed differently. @BallinProductionDogs

Dude I completely agree I noticed that too. He also had a more Eastern European sound in his voice that he doesn’t really have in the clone wars. He sounds more American in the show which makes sense since Matthew Wood is. Maybe the reason his voice gets more scratchy and less high pitched is because some of the 2003 Tarkovsky clone wars is canon. The final arc of the clone wars semi canonized it because they talk about Chancellor Palpatine getting kidnapped by Grievous and that Mace Windu reported Shaak Ti missing. In the old 2003 series the reason why Grievous originally started coughing was because Mace Windu collapsed his lungs. It’s at least canon that Mace Windu and Grievous had a brief battle minutes before revenge of the sith
