It works better for ground bombing but it's dog____ in space combat and you need to take out the anti aircraft radar as well the opponents starfighter contingent.

Yes the set is spectacular, I agree with Jang if I were to pick one "best set" from the sequels I would go for the Resistance Bomber. Like Luis already said, I really think the bomber was built for ground combat with marginal use in space combat, hence why it got torn to shreds. But... with the WWII influence in mind its worth pointing out that B-17 crews IRL had a survival rate that was below 50%. So I think its kind of interesting that Star Wars for once showed off a horrifying realistic bombing run with absolute mortality, compared to the plot armor we normally see protecting ships. There is a really interesting article that dives into the WWII influences in The Last Jedi that brings up while mentioning the Starfortresses compared to say a Y-Wing and their real inspirations: nationalinterest.org/blog/the-buzz/why-the-last-jedi-teaches-us-the-battleship-truly-dead-23765 Its a shame the sequel trilogy on a whole is so uneven, because occasionally it had moments of brilliance that lead to discussions like the one in that article. I kind of am curious to see what the consensus on the Sequels are in another 10 years, since the discussion over the Prequels ended up changing with time. I dunno if I will ever like Rise of Skywalker, first time I ever left a Star Wars movie truly disappointed; but reading the online intercourse from 10 years ago and people were saying that about stuff like Revenge of the Sith. So I dunno, only time will tell.

This. It’s actually a pretty fun set and worked well when they translated it into Lego. When they get around to remaking episode 8 sets hopefully this will be picked out as something for the resistance side.

In-movie it might have worked better with either armor or a LOT more speed. Or both. But strictly as a Lego build, I actually like it. 🙂

I personally would have put the Episode 9 Kylo Ren Shuttle on the table. I like that Lego went back and fixed the design and colour.

Great choices. My personal favorite set from the sequel trilogy would be the 2019 Kylo Ren Shuttle. It looks very sleek and has an incredible build

I like the Quad Jumper. It's like a cool bounty-hunter type ship. It looks unique too. I got a cool LED light set for it and use it in some school stop-motion projects

I would have personally chosen the First Order Special Forces Tie Fighter. I feel like that’s the one time Lego got the TIE-Fighter perfect. Lovely set.

The best thing about the bomber is the fact it's as durable as the real thing

Does anybody else listen to JANG’s videos when they can’t sleep? JANG you have the best story telling voice, so tranquil.

I have built only two SW sets in my life and both are on that table! The Resistance Fighter and the Resistance Transport! Both solid sets.

The only reasonable reason I can think of that Kylo Ren didn't have his silencer in episode 9 was maybe it was destroyed when Holdo did the Holdo thing

Tie silencer was probably destroyed when snokes star destroyer was taken down!

The reason i like the lego quad jumper is that right out of the box, before you even build it, it is already movie accurate.

I have the TIE silencer. It is a great set.

The resistance transport was such a great building experience!

I personally think the best in terms of colour design was the 2016 resistance x wing with the blue and grey but I personally think the best one has to be the poes x wing from last year as the wings match perfectly compared to the previous ones.

I love that Resistance Bomber. It was my favourite new ship in the sequel trilogy in the films and I really wanted to get it. But as someone who isn't a massive Star Wars guy I just couldn't justify the price. I regret it now though lol

The grey version wasn’t that bad in my opinion but it was lacking in the movement with the wings and the wings were the wrong color. Aside from that its not a bad set (in my opinion at least.

I actually picked up the other version of Kylo Ren's shuttle and I modded it to let the wings move but it was just really bad still. But on Rebrickable, I found an amazing alternate build to make it a star destroyer. It is a great build that has an interior and the instructions are free.

12:10 this was actually my third LEGO Star Wars set that i got and I enjoy it a lot plus it never breaks in me unless if I take it a part

Even though a bomber ship in space might be the dumbest idea ever, the set is really good for play and even display.

Gotta give props to the design of the Luggabeast, Awesome design!

As someone who only had the encounter on Jakku out of your on-the-table winners, I have to say the First Order Transport that only made the honorable mention had to be my favorite set as a kid. It has so much space (regardless of technical design failures) and just felt endlessly useful to me.

I LOVE the black ko rens shuttle. I just think it has such a presence on the shelf

I personally think they have covered as much as they can besides a set based on the duel on Exegol, plus maybe the transport ships that they used to get to Crait and the first order shuttle that Rose and Finn used to get back to Crait.

That Quad Jumper looks like one of the old Bionicle Phantoka speeders, and I really love it!

The best thing about the sequel season especially the Force Awakens was the effort. Something like the resistance transport actually becomes cool. I love it. It was one of my first sets I got a hell of a lot more but it's one of my faves. I still love picking it up and swooshing it.

The resistance transport looks like a baguette and a side-flying bus at the same time

So much of Star Wars was inspired by ww2 planes and boats and crafts, resistance bomber-Avro Lancaster, First order troop transport- Higgins boat, Kylo Rens interceptor-P38, Y wing-SBD dauntless, B wing-P47 Thunderbolt.

The resistance bomber was a great set, maybe the best of that wave in my opinion

Kylo Ren’s tie fighter and Kylo Ren’s imperial shuttle 2019 are my favorite. Black and red is my favorite color combo

Gotta say, The Last Jedi sets were pretty awesome. Amazing designs, good value (especially compare to Rise of Skywalker sets). It's a shame we didn't get an additional wave of them - there were plenty of cool parts of that movie that would have translated to LEGO well.

I am fully convinced that Jangbricks has his own pocket dimension that is nothing but white and just pulls stuff from the real world into this pocket dimension to showcase it.

I am with you all the way on this! Especially "the most devisive choice" which was my personal favourite.

12:25 you have no idea how much value I got out of this ship. I made so many stop motions with it. It also went great with the resistance troopers battle pack.

The resistance bomber might be my favorite sequel set, or at least one of them. That Ahch To set is pretty good. The quadjumper is the only Force Awakens set I didn't end up getting but I kinda wish I did

The x wing was definitely the best imo. It honestly revolutionized the build for me with the wings and cockpit, and the x wings that came after were some of the best sets IMO

Despite not owning it yet, I think the resurgent class play set is my personal favorite looking set. Kylo,s shuttle, tie silencer, Poe’s Ros x wing, and tie whisper rounding out the top 5

My aunt got me Kylo Ren’s fighter for Christmas 2017 but I didn’t like the movie so I didn’t open it and I couldn’t return it. Last year or maybe this year, I was longing to build some LEGO. I realized that this set probably wouldn’t sell on eBay or anything. I didn’t think there was much demand for it. So I accepted is as a cool display model and play set with cool figures that I didn’t have. And I can use the pieces for MOCs, too.

I agree Jang, however I'd say my favorite set is the first order transporter(to be fair I made mine extra long like you mentioned) I just love ships that carry troopers! I love gunships,dropships,carriers etc! My favorite of those is the rebel u wing

I have it too! It is fantastic.

I also like the Luggabeast, and the Rey's Speeder is great. I agree so much with the TIE. I also think the 75273 X-Wing (TROS version) is so so nice. The best X-wing we've had so far (75218 is great too), and I love the colour scheme SO much. Not just the orange and azure and white, but the way the orange is laid out. The engine intakes look amazing. Ah I love that set, however much I don't particularly like TROS.

I’d have to say the First Order Snowspeeder was one of my favorites. It felt like I was getting a piece of what was happening off screen. Kinda like how Kenner sometimes made up their own Star Wars vehicles to expand the Star Wars universe. Very nice build as well.

This was meant to be a real thing as you see it briefly in episode 7 however the original full scene was never made and cut before they got round to shooting the scene. A good set only screwed by lack of screen time and for a lot of people you would be easily mistaken for thinking it didn’t appear at all.

I agree with selection of quadjumper, big fan of this ship's design. As an honourable mention i would choose I-TS transporter. It looks good, it feels good, figures are good too( especially lieutenant Bek and droids). The only complain about this is the back of transporter, they could use this space for many functions, but it is what it is. Yeah, some of you may complain about this ship, since it never appeared in sequel trilogy, but it is resistance transport, so imo it fits there perfectly. My first comment on English btw, hello from Kazakhstan.

I got all of those bar the luggerbeast and shop and I agree they are all excellent builds. The Sith speeder is probably one of the best battle pack side builds since the imperial troop transport battle pack for Star Wars Rebels.

The Frudgesicle speeder and the FO transport/landing craft are my favorites of this franchise. don't have the transport... but i stil have the fudgesickle built!

Wait so I was thinking... what does Jang mean? A speeder based off the concept from of the front of a snowspeeder? And then it clicked! That makes total sense!! The first order transport battlepack or whatever with the flame trooper. So cool

I really like the original Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle. Even though it doesn't have the wing action you can fit all the minifigs and their weapons in it. You could even mod it somewhat easily to flight mode.

Agreed, i love the quad jumper and silencer. I deff wanna get the bomber and transport

I agree with you on everything here (even the strange fact that the Resistance Transport is legit the best set) except for one crucial bit: I LOVE the Resurgent Battlecruiser. Not just the set but the in-universe design. I’m surprised it didn’t make it but I suppose it may be polarizing and I will admit the stud shooters on it are supremely weak. Still, the overall look of the thing and the interior space is just amazing IMO.

That FO snowspeeder was on sale for $20 for a while. It was good for pieces.

I belive both Rey's speeder and the snowspeeder are minifigure scale, so is just perfect, not oversized

From looking at images, I think Rey should be the same height or taller than the speeder, which the minifigure isn't, so it's not quite minifig scale, but not far off.

I nearly bought the bomber because of your original review, but then I saw them in the movie, that ended that for me.

You should do a video like this for the original trilogy or mandolorian/ Disney+ Star Wars shows when more are released

Wish i can still get Kylo's ship... It flies great in Battlefront II, it looks cool, and from books and stuff it is kind of like a modern Vader's personal fighter... which goes along well with the theme of Kylo emulating grandad on every aspect :3

I think that the battlepack version of the first order speeder is kinda more size accurate since in universe that vehicle is quite small

I disagree on the hate for the Resistance Transport being unwarranted. This is coming from someone who had to _reapply_ the canopy stickers 🤦🏻‍♂️ But it's an excellent and fun build and makes total sense that it's cobbled together from other vehicle parts. And the best thing: It does what a lot of Lego SW transports fail to do, transport things!

planning on picking up the Droid workshop and luggerwahl just because I like SWTOR. Won't bother assembling rey xd
