OM GOODNESS REALLY

The 2020 version is my first X-wing in a really long time. I actually held off on buying the other two because the non-circular engine intakes just bothered me too much. Also, the fact that the new one has no visible gap between the wings when closed is an important improvement. Combined with the blue sloped pieces at the front of the wings, it goes a long way to making them feel like a single S-foil that splits rather than two wings that come together.

I got both. The black one was my first ever x wing (still love it to death!) but I couldn’t resist the updated design of the 2020 x wing. Both of them are awesome!

I really like how when you look from the top down at the 2019 version, the orange creates a nice triangular shape.

Poe is a part of the resistance, making it a resistance x wing

Ended up getting back into lego This year after about 20 years just for Lego after visiting galaxies edge and wanting my own millennium falcon. I will say the various colors (orange and blue on the X wing, green on A Wing, and red and white on the A Wing) look great when you the TROS resistance sets on display next to each other.

Fun Fact: Poe’s blue X-Wing was used in The Force Awakens because at the time, his black X-Wing had been shot down and needed repair.

I just (finally) got the 2020 one. I think my favorite change in the overall build is the light grey quarter-circle pieces around the engine housings replacing those thinner half-circle pieces on the other two.

I agree, the quarter-circle pieces look much better on the 2020 version, but IMO the 2015 is the best color wise

I don't think you could go wrong with any of these sets. A fleet builders dream. Also if the orange parts on 2020 model were swapped for a olive green, you would have the colours of Snap wexley's X wing.

I like the resistance, and I'm getting it but I really wish they had put more of a blue streak on the nose of the ship

For ages on the black and orange poe x-wing I couldn’t use the wing open mechanism on the top but I took the back apart and realised I hadn’t used a gear piece, and it was like that for ages

My Favorite is the one from 2020. I just love the fact, that you can put R2 in it, instead of BB-8. Take this BB-8 ;-)

I have all these. The 2015 and 2016 have a way better wing activation that they got rid of. The 2016 has lots of play features in the set. But the new 2020 is really nice except the stupid wing activation that slaps the wings together. 2015 is still my favorite.

Couple of core problems with this design: 1. The wings don’t interlock 2. The nose doesn’t slope down 3. The s-foil doesn’t interlock in the middle.

I think the first one is best : great colour and I love the way you open the wings

On the 2020 one you have more options for the astro but on the other two you can only place bb8 which is a major set back for me cuz I like to put all of my droid collection in the slot and see which one looked the best

I feel like it comes down to 2 things. Your preferred minifig selection, and color scheme. The prices are near the same so is the price to peice count but the only big differences are color and minifigs with are 2 big factors even if this wasn't a competition.

The black X-wing is special to me as it was the last set I bought from Toys R Us before their eventual closing in 2018.

The reason why the 2016 model is blue is because in the force awakens movie you probably did not notice but the resistance x-wings that came behind Poe damearon’s black and orange x-wing were actually gray and blue ok keep that in mind

I’ve wondered why Lego didn’t really bother to make the wings line up like they do in the film. They’re still just stacked on top of each other instead of being parallel.

@@rodrign007 yeah the wing basically splits in two. I remember when I first saw pictures of the new X-Wings for TFA I thought it was a Z-95 Headhunter because it looks like just one wing across instead of the regular X-Wing with wings stacked on top of one another.

please do a Lego hulkbuster comparison!! I have the newish one from infinity war and had the one from age of Ultron I would love to see a comparison between the two and maybe even the war machine buster as well

I still and technically prefer the blue/grey resistance X-wing since it's the True model. Poe's X-wing is his own custom job so it's exclusive to him. The blue/grey or T-70 is better for diarams and comparable to the T-65 the classic white/red/grey version. However I don't own either but I'm planning on getting the newer style of Poe's X-wing the colours are growing on me and the others are expensive and overpriced now on the secondary market. I like the look of it so I'll get it.

I -have- had the orange and black X-Wing but now it’s completely striped for parts

I skipped on the 2016 one (even though I’m a collector and would love a different color scheme) simply because the build looks 99% exactly like the black and orange version :(

I don’t have this years version so far. It looks good but waiting for a sale. I have the other versions though.

The new x wing kinda reminds me of how car company’s redesigned cars like mustangs and challengers the way they retro style them to look like the old style and a new clean look all in one.

White and orange is totally the coolest. great color scheme, coolest design (besides the kind of awkward technic piece sticking out below it), comes with a Knight of Ren, back engine is sturdier. So that’s my take

Mash up the 15 and the 19 put the black nose and wings on the orange body would look cool

I just thought if you buy poes first x-wing there is a random resistance pilot doing nothing but if you buy the resistance x-wing you would have an x wing for the pilot and poe would not look out of place because he is not wearing his pilot suit

You should compare to newest resistance x-wing with Luke's 2018 x-wing

I like the newest one most because of the fact the engines are circles and not ovals

I put Snap Wexley in the 2016 version and fly the 2015 and 2016 sets together.

The 2016 x wing has the best playability due to the engine that pops out and the pole thing does fall and in the x wing cockpit there is a fire extinguisher and that count because you can create stories l guess? Nevertheless l prefer the 2020 one for the minifigures and the design (l also have the 2015 one)

The best one would be the orange one With the the black and orange colors
