I'd like to take a moment to appreciate the quality of these videos. The lighting is excellent, the camera doesn't shake, the most important parts are in focus 99% of the time, he doesn't rotate the models too fast making me dizzy and he turns the minifigs slowly to give the viewer time to see every little detail. And he does that with such passion that this is my no. 1 most viewed channel.

Hi jang! One aspect of your reviews that I don't think you get enough credit for is the camerawork. You capture the models with good angles and it's always easy to understand what part of the build you are talking about. You use both overview shots, "tour" shots to focus on each section, and zoom shots which together make for a dynamic viewer access to what you want us to see. Your content is of very high quality and I think this is what draws people to your channel time and time again. Good job.

Honestly I think this one is really underrated. One of my favorite Ninjago dragons for sure.

I like to picture this as an organic dragon whose wing were damaged and so they needed to attach jet engines for it to fly. Kinda like in HTTYD when hiccup replaces toothless‘ wing with a synthetic one

Oh my gosh I love all of Jay’s Dragons and vehicle’s but this has to be his best dragon. That droid head is really neat, never noticed it till you mentioned it. Ninjago Dragons have really had quite the change since the first ones made to the most recent ones being made. So many ways to build even just the heads alone that use unique pieces and techniques

Just wanted to say jangbricks I'm loving your new video format and studio. You have always been one of my favourite lego tubers,but I really feel since you updated the channel your content has gone from strength to strength. 😀

Managed to get this set for $35 dollars new on Amazon for a flash sale. It was so cheap it practically felt like stealing! But when it was being still being sold by retailers, all the major chains marked the set down to $40 which was a great deal evidence by Jan saying $40 would have been unreasonably low.

If/when you do a collective overview of this wave, could you show the extra blade pieces from all the sets? There's always so many blades left over, it would be interesting to see just how many are left unused. It would also be cool to see all the extra stickers included. Great video, can't wait for the next one!

One thing Lego should add to the sticker sheet is same stickers with two copies, because usually at least for me, if I put stickers on the set and they fail so I will A: lose the sticker or B: have to put it off and put it again but with less glue on it. so overall I think "extra stickers" Lego did for these sets are not so useful than exact copy of the sticker sheet would be.

It's darn shame Digi Nya is exclusive to this set! She has one if the best Digi suits out of all the Ninja.

Thank you! As always, very interesting and nice review! The set looks cool, I think to buy one for collection from this new Ninjago series, ideas is quite fresh and look very Lego-ish with all that bright highlights of orange and green =)

I wish this dragon would just commit to a style, it feels like it wants to be fully digitized but also fully organic, and it doesn’t work that well here. The green ninja mech dragon did it best, and the empire dragon leans more toward the digital aspect and it works better imo. This ones goes digital then randomly switches to organic and they try to add some transparent pieces to make it flow better

11:52 OMG, me too! I remember when I finally got corrected as a kid about "DARK" Vader, I was so confused at the time! What the heck is a Darth, I wondered. Not until years later did I find that part out.

In France, the people responsible for the translation thought it would be easier for us to pronounce "Dark" rather than "Darth", so we have all been calling him "Dark Vador" (yes, with a "o") instead of Darth Vader since then. And Darth Maul became "Dark Maul" etc.

This is sweet looking dragon! I always had an idea about fantasy world which magic, fantasy creatures etc. which gets to modern or scifi level of technology, and this is exactly that! I also have to check the build vid for this, trigger with turning joint is definetly something else! I also appreciate different hoverboards, as I already have Kay's mech jet and the hoverboard there has a very loose connection to the bumerang-style piece that is at the bottom of the board. I probably wont get this exact set, though. I think I get the emperor's dragon, which has similar aesthetic and is cheaper and I don't get so much stuff that I don't necessarily need ( I dont think I need any of the figures XD). I also already had the storm dragon from last (?) season and even if blue is my favourite color, I already have blue dragon...

Update: dispate what I earlier said, I did end you buying this set. I just like this look more than emperor's dragon. My only real nitpick with this set is why the last bit of the tail (which is on a balljoint) cannot be angled, it is locked onto it's position, it just seems wierd to do that with a BALL joint. Really like the set, though. That trigger and turning joint is definetly something even after seeing the build video, seeing it in person is still intriguing.

Anyone please help me to choose: stormbringer or cyber dragon?? (I wanna make alternate build from that)

Dragon head is the best though

I like the body. However the wings are too small, also the back wings should have been turned arround so they would be placed like the front wings.

One small complaint: you never shown the other side of the dragon, so we couldn't see any asymmetrical detail - I was waiting to see the whole video if the other hind leg has just buttons instead of the D-pad sticker, and I had to squint at the box to see it. The video is great, but at least one 360 view would be nice :)

Octernal It’s just a mecha in a video game. It’s not that difficult. Takes place in a video game, and the dragon is a purchasable mount in-game, just like an MMORPG

Too bad the tail doesn't wag like some of the other dragons over the years. That is such a cool feature that I think should be standard on all dragons of this size.

Don’t want to be “that guy,” but I’d like to point out that this dragon by “official definitions” is an actual dragon because it has four legs and wings on its back, unlike most Ninjago dragons which are technically wyverns :)
