LEGO Marble Run 2 - Building a Continuous Loop

Expanding my marble run system to include an Elevator, so it can run continuously, and an Alternator module, which routes incoming balls in alternating directions. You can turn on captions for some commentary on the build.

    yeah, if he keeps expanding this, I think it could easily be pitched as a LEGO Ideas set. Make it so that a motor isn't necessary but can be added on later.

    Because I think it would be very different (less fun for him) if it was his job instead of his hobby. And he would probably not be allowed to show any ideas or designs he is working on at LEGO. Or any of his own designs at all. But of course I could be completely wrong in this :)

    That fang piece on the seesaw was brilliant. It is constantly blocking one of two exits at any given time, yet the exit in which it is blocking changes with each time a ball moves the seesaw. It will always go left, right, left, right, left, right, left, right, and so on. Perfectly equal, and such a simple yet amazing way to do it.

    This is really cool, i could have that at my desk and stare at it for hours if it weren’t for the sound of the motor :) also, i’m one of the guys that recommend an alternator/split module, and i can’t believe you actually made it! the design is so clean too, good job 👍🏻

    I think you can buy silent motors that are unofficial. If there are none, converting an actual motor to connect with Lego isn't really hard to do.

    you should make a marble run like this, but add a spiral module, a tube module, and then make it like five times bigger and then get it made into a lego set because this is a _really_ cool idea.

    Its funny to see the amazed comments. There are marble out of plastic that use the exact same things but with CURVES so they are more interesting in the end than LEGO impressions. JK Brickworks just used the ideas of the chain and made a good replica.

    This would look good in a GBC to be honest, you see all sorts of strange over detailed designs, but not many simplistic ones like this. Can connect any module to any module, and work as a way to raise the balls up again.
