Congratulations on a well deserved 30k . A truly amazing build. The only downside is that feeling of when you’ve read the last page of a really good book and wanted it to go on. Innovative, imaginative and just good fun ! Robin, I wonder if you have any idea of how ‘included’ your subscribers feel when you use their donations. My grandson and I sent the parrots in brickhaul 109. You are simply a genius . Thankyou !

That's so nice to hear. Really glad you enjoyed the series, and it is a shame it can't last for ever. I always try to use my donations properly and I'm glad yours turned up. Some bits will be waiting longer than others, haha!

And some I sent were real challenges 😂 you placed the Belville swimming pool to perfection at @sweat and the Duplo fish brick in your sushi restaurant. You give back more than you receive, my thank s
Admittedly I wouldn't say I'm the biggest biggest LEGO fan, but your videos are really relaxing and interesting to see the intricacies of the city, and you also seem like a really genuine person. Love your videos, dude.
Amazing result, and congrats on 30k! From the moment you introduced the sail piece, I've imagined that if it is indeed a flexible cloth piece in-verse, you can probably see from a good distance away (even before you hear the music) when Kanaka is really cranking up the party by how much the canopy is bouncing up and down from the thumping music. "Hey Marty, how busy is Kanaka's today?" **Marty looks out window of apartment from across town** "The canopy is at full sail, so I expect packed."
@RobinHoodBricks
Жыл бұрын
Haha, sounds exactly right!
So good!! The only ammendment that I can think of is that DJ Kanaka should be on a bit of a stage. Also, putting him on a plate or 2 behind the DJ console would make him look a little taller behind the console.
Congrats both on 30k subs and completing the mall, the bar is the real crowning glory! One tiny suggestion is to have one of the drinks falling of the railing (using one of those trans clear superhero jump pieces) and a patron at the bar looking on aghast. I think that would make for a funny scene. Can't wait to see what you do next.

Me too. It's gonna look great in that space. So exciting. I'll wait to do it together though... Carefully!
My only suggestion is - I'm sad the red King Kahuka mask wasn't integrated as a decoration somewhere at the tiki bar - it is such an iconic piece and is very fitting! You've really outdone yourself with this entire mall - an incredible level of detail all around! My favorite entire build you've ever done.
@RobinHoodBricks

Mine too I think. Definitely the one I've spent longest on. Thanks!
You should make the palm trees on top of the Tiki Bar taller, and they should cross to form an "X", then it could be a reference to the final scene of "it's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World," where the treasure is hidden beneath the "X", which is actually two palm trees. 😁
@chrischristiansen6204

That sounds cool and worth trying.
Come on Robin, get better man! we miss your creativity!!
I love the tiki mask that the Pacific islander has on the back of his head. It reminds me of an antique African mask that was my art mentor's prized possession

Yes it's a lovely piece, and better backwards as we can see his lovely face too!
That looks awesome. I love the way the DJ mask is so visable and like he was overseeing everyone outside the mall. I think you have everything inclueded except adding a 1x2 radiator peice on the leaf piece behind your totems to create the illusion of being massive speakers for the dance floor. what a great set of videos. Thank you for sharing with all of us.
Well done on getting 30k subscribers Great job
Congrat s on the 30k Robin and a heck off a finish for this series. Can't wait for it's placement in BrickNottingham! Until then, enjoy your holliday and see you in 2023!

Very kind. It took a long while to pull together!
Robin, you could make the tiki bar 2 or 4 studs wider. So that it acts as a kind of roof over the path in front of the ball pit. You then get a little more space to set up your dance floor and bar a little more spaciously. Place the two images diagonally opposite each other, you will then get a slightly better view of what is happening there
Absolutely fantastic watching the progression of this mall! Wish I had HALF of your imagination Robin!

I am blessed with an active mind, haha. Only a fraction of my ideas get built as well!
Alright!! Love it, dude!! 😍Just as good as you said it would be! It's got all the vibes I associate with..the Teal, the plants and the island-y, tropical-y vibes! 🌴🤙🏽 All the tiki 'deteal' is great! As a tourist to Brick Nottingham, my sigfig is going to go straight to the tiki bar, get tipsy and bust out some tribal dance moves! One passion-fruit/pineapple rum cocktail bowl lit on fire for me please!😆 Nothin better to celebrate 30K than a tiki bar dance party! unce! unce! unce! unce! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 A well deserved congrats! I had a good chuckle when you said "Tiki-detail", "Hawaiin-y", "island-y" nearly back-to-back 😆 I didn't comment on a few of the previous Mall parts but I've seen them all and thoroughly enjoyed the builds 👍

Robin, this is incredible. Blown away again. Especially now seeing everything together. I loved Fast Food Corner in it's own right --a fantastic design, but this Mall build has to be my favorite thing you've done, out of so many great works. Thanks, my friend. I agree this is my best work resulting from being done over a long period with a lot of attention to detail. I love it!
Wow where do I start… 1. What happened on Friday? There was no video, hope everything is good. 2. A huge congratulations on 30k subscribers. May Robin and his merry band continue to spread around the world to more and more people. Truly deserved. 3. Queue Stayin’ Alive and get me on that dance floor with one of those huge cocktail bowls!! 4. What a build this series has been!! The buildings techniques used for the floor are simply ingenious!! The modular series has simply been fantastic! This just tops it and it’s probably my favourite part and if not build. It just looks like a place to be! Ok my essay is over. Thanks and congratulations Robin and may you and Mrs Hood have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!

1. Work. I've stopped doing posts for absent videos as the occasional negative comment is a real energy drain. 2. Very kind I'm sure! 3. I reckon one of those cocktail bowls might be enough for the whole evening! 4. I said to a few people the best was still to come. The idea to do it all sideways just came to me in a flash. Great variety absent from official LEGO builds. Have a great break too. Thanks again!
Oh so good Robin. Maybe a coin or two in the violin case? A few additional speakers clipped to the black "ski" poles? You should do a tribute to Jangs famous mall video where he takes us on a complete tour and has mall music playing in the background.
@chrischristiansen6204
Жыл бұрын
Or to keep it secure the coin or dollar could be mounted to a stud right next to the case like it had not quite made it in or was blown out.
It turned out so good! Can’t wait to see it in the city! Do you have any of the red king kahuka masks? You could somehow clip them to the railing facing out for even more decor!
This is a truly excellent build Robin and reminds me of your last modular, when I first discovered your channel - Fast Food corner - and how you've progressed, an incredible achievement of 30k subscribers, really well done. This build is beautiful and puts all the little shops and businesses that a city needs into a really good space. I honestly don't know where you get your ideas but you make them look excellent 🤩🤩

Congratulations on 30K subs! I can't believe that I've been watching this channel since 500 or so subscribers. In particular, I remember that the marina was being built around that time. Congratulations on the 30K milestone. Very well deserved indeed. The Tiki Bar build, and the rest of the mall for that matter, is absolutely amazing! Love how your builds are so full of details and life across your city. I have two small suggestions: have DJ Kanaka wear his Tiki mask, we all know that the best DJs wear helmets/masks 😉. The other is to add just one more person to the dance floor, they can be having a good time dancing by themselves or just dancing alone while they wait for the girl with the crop top to join them. 🙂
Absolutely amazing 🤩 this mall is a masterpiece. I didn't catch why the guy near the pink parrot on the railing is looking at a pole

The only thing I could think of adding to that awesome Tiki Party Bar would be vegetation to the outer railing, like flowers, some leaves and maybe a green rope as a vine.
Congrats!! I have loved watching the mall come together and everything that led up to this point. You have inspired me to stack and pack my village and I don't have to have a huge city to have fun scenes and lots of Lego life.
You are my favorite Lego-builder because what I really love to do to fill my free time are: collecting records, riding my skateboard, partying and dancing sometimes, travelling and even playing violin since four years. This build can't be really true XD and you have so much fantasy what I really enjoy 🐙🌷🌴🦎. 👍 Greetings from germany
Aw man, I was really hoping to see it in the city today! Guess I'll have to wait for next year.
What an Awesome build. I'm overwhelmed. I really enjoyed the mall series. Great color combination. 1 thing you could add some lego gold coins or lego money so the mini figure playing the violen can buy Christmas presents. Have a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Always look forward to your videos.

You should have 3 million subscribers “if you ask me”! This Mall serie has been absolutely stunning. You must have studied and worded so much to realise it and yet you just share with us the joyful part (unlike other Lego bloggers who can be extremely boring). When I saw “final” in the title I was a bit sad, but I was expecting to see it finally placed into the city… for which there will be another episode after the final called how? As for the dance floor, if you really wanna take suggestions for what’s anyway a magnificent built, I think the square tiling design doesn’t fit well in the circle. Have you considered a checkered design? As for the two statues inside the bar, they really take too much space. I’d rather have them on top of the bar replacing the palm trees, but that’s my OCD and we love you because you pack and stack our Lego life with your craziness.

Congratulations on 30k. The Tiki bar looks great, it's a good job that it's always warm and sunny in Brick Nottingham, I don't think they'd have many customers in the recent weather we've had in the UK (and I think the DJ might be freezing his **** off!). Just one tiny thing, the couple on the dance floor, could they be looking at each other while they're dancing? Either by turning their heads or their bodies, I think a bit of eye contact with each other would bring them to life a bit more.
Man, really loved how this turned out (this part and as a whole)! I seriously can't wait to see it put into place and viewed from the different standing holes in the room!
Hi Robin Hood Bricks! I have one last suggestion for the mall series! For the bar you could have a man trying to sneak down the stairs holding 3 of the sandwiches that know one gets! I'm very happy to hear that you have hit 30 Thousand subscribers! You are one of my favorite youtubers and I can't wait to see what you build next keep up the amazing work!!!!!

A big round of applause for 30k - enjoy your time off. Very excited to see the mall in place. I can’t recall your thoughts on this, but a rebrickable or Lego ideas along these lines would seem great, but would this not be a great contender for the new to launch bricklink designer programme next year? One small suggestion on this - some gold coins or similar in the violin case and someone throwing one in, if he is busking? Nice job achieving 30k. It's really deserved considering all the efforts you put in all your videos. The mall looks amazing as it's finished. The only change i would do to the tiki bar roof (sail) would be too raise one of the 3 poles to create some angle which would help seeing better what's going on and create more depth.
