Ha! I love that you started your video by zooming in on your damaged box. At least they gave it to you early and free-ish.

It got a little beat up on its way.
Awesome you're getting these from the LEGO Company, but sad to not see you in the Jan. 1st line at the mall, and bother you with questions! :)

@@alexnunes it's a fun time no doubt! Hoping to see you there.
I would personally swap the Jazz Club and the townhouse. It would give a better view of the Soap and Suds ad, and the trellis would probably look better against the Parisian Restaurant in my opinion. But if you like it better this way, it still looks good.
These Modular buildings are getting smaller, I liked the size of the town hall and the fire station buildings
Thank you for the video.
It’s not on my top 5 but I will definitely buy it 😊

Same here, may not be in the top 10 either.
Great review. I like how you went through the building as a minifigure would. The placement is good. The back of this modular actually looks pretty good
I love the mini figs with this one, it's great to get Lego instruments too!
Thanks for the revue Alex! Really like this modular. Will be getting this one for sure.
It's a great modular and I will definitely buy it when there is a promotion.
Switch the police and the jazzclub, it shows the newsstand beter.😊(in my opinion) Awesome city btw, keep it up ❤ it
It will be miiine! Soooon! 😊
Really nice set, love your city Brother
Ouch !! Great review , bad box !! Happy Holidays and thanks for all your videos .

I know, I was not happy with the damage.
This one looks great
With the modular shuffling, a double build MOC of the Lego Boutique Hotel would sit well in your city.

I'd have to agree. This would look good.
Looks like a nice building but I don't collect City sets. The minigs looks great and I might just buy a few selected one on bricklink to add to the themes I collect.
Nice video. I like this one except for the colour combination of the facade: plain blue, plain yellow and then some red, it’s not matching and blending together well. Hope it works better in reality:
Since I saw the first pictures of this I felt that there's something wrong with the smaller windows of the Jazz Club. I still can't figure out what bothers me exactly. I thought they were too small and not detailed enough at first but looking at more angles that doesn't seem to be it. Maybe it's the stained glass windows that makes the look like dark holes or the fact that the more detailed center windows (that would define the look of the building) are hidden behind the sign. I still don't know but have to figure that out to know what my main modification for this one will be. 🙂Still, I do like this one and will certainly get two as the basis for modified version as I do with most modulars.
nice review
I will get it for sure in January
Nice video Alex. I, the riff raff, would not visit a jazz club next to a police station.

I know!!!
I like it
I noticed that I still have my Rock Band minifigure accessory set from 2012 which I can use to switch out and create different stage acts in this modular. Somebody else mentioned about using their Seinfiend figure for a comedy act in the modular too. I am wondering if you thought of that too.
Nice video. I am still on the fence. I like it, but will wait for a good promo. It's $300 in Canada. Also, have you thought of putting a fence in the backyard of all the modulars, before the train track?
I am still not sure about the yellow of the Pizza place, but it doesn't look too bad next to the bookstore or the house that was beside it (that you have placed it next to). Anyway, I will be getting this for sure as I have most of the other modulars (Don't have the first 3, the Fire Brigade was my first), but probably not for a little while as it is quite expensive.
8:40 between the Avengers Tower and Police, or at the corner, near the Airport shuttle, have a small passenger train station...
No stickers! Shut up and take my money!
IMO, it will be very hard to beat the Police Station modular. It’s a great set (build and looks) with a funny and entertaining story. The Jazz Club set does not even come close.
Looks great. How do u deal with dust Alex? My city is up 5 years now and starting to show signs of dust.
@alexnunes
Жыл бұрын
Dust is tough. I do try to clean it regularly. It takes time and it is a pain, but that's what you have to do if you want to keep it looking shiny.
thanks for the review. I personally don't like it at all, but maybe it will grow on me. In my opinion the price is way too high, especially since LEGO is STILL struggling with their dark red color accuracy - which is also the reason why I'll wait until sometime next year with my purchase. Funny enough I really like the smaller, yellow building on the right over the actual jazz club on the left.
:D
This feels like someone has taken 3 of the Creator 3-in-1 "mini modular" sets and made a modular out of it. It's not a bad build, but just doesn't _feel_ right.
$230 I think not Ebay 100
This looks like an awesome set, but the interior is lacking
This looks familiar 😉😅

I thought new one was a pizzeria
To see it so close. I see there are more details that I like then a first sight. But still there are things that I don't like. But there is enough time to think about mods. And yeah it will not get a high ranking in my top 10

@@alexnunes Well summarized in just one word
I collect the straight modulars so I’m gonna buy it when it goes on sale but this a C grade modular at best imo
@alexnunes
Жыл бұрын
We should see another straight on next year. They seem to o in a 3 year rotation. But LEGO seems to enjoy throwing us for a loop.
haha... finally I can put the message for "This" review! really really good set. Can join with other modular easily and looks unique. Rate A.. (Especially Police station Rate F, 15th Anniversary Hotel rate B in my mind) The only issue is the price - need to wait at least 20% off when I buy this set.. the price is too expensive in my mind
I have not been a fan of the last few modular buildings. I’m not a fan of this design layout. The size of the pizza part is too small for the price. I wish they made it as two separate buildings, like the Pet Shop and apartment or the Bookstore and apartment.
@alexnunes
Жыл бұрын
I thought this as well. The pizzeria is basically the same size as the Tailor's room upstairs.
I would have preferred they stuck to their original plan of a newspaper building, I don't really want a jazz club. I'm more interested in the pizzeria. The buildings look nice enough though. I wish Lego would walk back their decision to jack up the prices. I think this will be the first modular building I pass on in over 5 years.
@alexnunes
Жыл бұрын
Maybe we will see that next year. This one is ok, not exactly a blockbuster.
@samwalker8893
Жыл бұрын
No. Remember that Lego modular building designers repeatedly tell us they work in three year stages for this project, if they advanced the jazz club from next to this year then the next one is the first “covid” or pandemic isolation period modular development available. I think they would have had no choice but to add a hospital or clinic, the demand was huge, every follower, channel, blog, everywhere fans were telling Lego we want a hospital, fans need a hospital to help reflect the covid etc. I think next years will be that building, if it isnt Lego lost a HUGE opportunity in both sales and good will, After a true embarrassment of a police station which has been a key city building since Lego began , this set been a let down, i reasonably expect a ball buster to come out next year with all the stars struck before perhaps resuming the print press giving the tower two years extra to complete and clear
YES! Time for a Modular Ranking video! I like the Jazz Club, but it's definitely not a day 1 purchase for me. Confused why the Pizza restaurant isn't the star. Every city/town in North America has them. I've never even been to a Jazz club so having one in my city doesn't really resonate with me. GREAT REVIEW !!!!
okay don't get me wrong I like it but the color scheme is out of place... Also this is not a 230 dollar set.
100% this would be in the bottom third of all modulars. The colors are awful. The theme is meh.
