I feel like they should have made a molded head for Iron Man just like they did for the old buildable Star Wars figures. It would have made it a perfect model.

Yeah a custom molded head would be awesome because the face on this one looks too wide and there’s like nothing in the back or on the sides of the head and the neck shows through to much

Yeah it’ definitely has an iron bioncle mashup vibe. I enjoyed the buildable Star Wars figures. Not all of them but most were cool. Obv a subjective opinion. I still need to get the scout trooper on the speeder bike. That one was great.

Look at the mocs people make using bionicle pieces. That alone should prove lego should go back to bionicle,but do it the classic way.

This is how Lego would produce an anniversary Bionicle figure.

These are probably the sturdiest looking ball joint sockets I've ever seen. God I miss bionicle. I wish we could get replacements for broken socket pieces with this new sturdier design. I might eventually purchase a 3d printer for this exact purpose.

I feel like there is really good potential for a $300-$500 huge Ironman armor adult display set or maybe even just $200?? I know there is a hulk buster rumor for roughly $250 but I think regular armor iron man would be far more interesting.

I think I understand why they had to make the face piece as wide as it is. Since LEGO wants the head to be fully brick built, and still proportional to the rest of the body, it needs to be 4 studs wide, 3 studs would've looked too elongated. It's definitely not perfect, but taking limitation into account, I think this is the best they can do, at least for now

The one thing that really bothers me is the helmet mold. I don't think I captures the shape as well as it could have. Still a definite buy.

Just got this last night. Fun build and looks good with my collection

Is it just me, or does it seem like LEGO just puts dark tan bricks everywhere they can? They're on the bottom of the feet here, but in literally every single set I own, somewhere you will find a dark tan brick. Is there a legit reason for this? Or maybe I'm just crazy.

I just wish it had a stand to pose him in the air. Then you could make it look like he’s taking off or in mid flight or landing and stuff like that but i guess you can just build one out of black or clear bricks

Makes me miss buildable figures even more….

Tbh, I would love it a lot more if it came with some sort of a display stand. But it may have not been possible, still a wonderful figure tho

When I bought this set for myself I got 2 sticker sheets of the same so I assumed it was a production mistake, but at least I'm not the person on the other end who got no stickers, (don't take this to seriously because it probably doesn't work that way)

I loooove this thing i just buildt him this weekend while I wish the light brick was orrect and I still get more OG mark 3 vibes than mk 43 the resemblence is there for that armor. plus the hands are a bit wonky mainly the thumb but overall it's freaking Iron man awesome ! it felels like a combo between oldschool bioincle and and the helmet buids. it was an enjoyable build and I'd be down for more buildables like this. one major flaw, maybe this is just mine but the booklet was miscolored gold peices were distiguish as a copper brown and yellow was drumlackered gold in my book so idk what thats about. if your a marvel fan, a mech fan looking for a cool figure this is it highly recomend.

Mmmm mark 43 is the suit the goes in the hulkbuster from age of ultron, wouldn’t be surprise if the rumour for a hulkbuster would be able to fit this version of iron man.

I think it’s cool I don’t even like marvel all like that I have a few sets and I might buy a few of these looks like a good investment for the future actually but just to play with or have yes you need to get a mini fig to display it along side it and that would complete it I think it’s worth 40 because it’s a lot better looking then the other buildable figs and someone will upgrade it that knows how and then everyone will do that and it will make for a nice set I see already how to make the neck bigger and elbows better already lolz

I am missing 4 pieces to build both arms. It’s the very first piece you need to start with. It’s grey and looks like little wings. It was supposed to be in bag 4 which was sealed. I brought it back and got a another one and guess what? Missing exact same pieces. Lol. This has to be quality control issue. I did call customer service and ordered replacement parts. But 7 to 10 business days to get them? Wow. Oh well. Didn’t anyone else have this problem with missing hardware? Thanks.

So ur fine if there may possibly be a mistake on the face print but because there are very unnoticeable burn marks especially if he’s in the ship on anikan in the intercepter set you think lego is lazy although I do agree lego is lazy not just because of that

I am not a hardcore Iron Man fan, I do not know the intricate details about him. Also work on your sentence structure, that was hard to read.

I heard the hips get a bit old. 😆 As someone who truly has genetic joint issues the delay on the other marvel mechs was disappointing. I’m sure they will re-release the wolverine Mech etc down the line. I really hope they do. Cool review.

@@octobotimus that’s the beauty of the system 👍. That set probably doesn’t have the joint issues. I was just disappointed about the smaller mechs getting delayed but it is what it is.

40 bucks is to expensive in my opinion, I’d much rather buy some other new sets, but it’s not a bad set

I’m a big fan of this brick-built action figure idea, I think they did a pretty good job with most of it. But, I absolutely hate that wide, façade style faceplate-head they made for this set. Terrible design. Kinda ruins what turned out to be a pretty good set in my opinion
