Ehhhh it’s very average set could be a lot better 1 if it actually typed 2 if it was cheaper bloody steep for some plastic

Great build on your LEGO Typewriter set in sand green! 👍 I remember in Peanuts how Charlie Brown’s pet dog Snoopy used the exact same object when he typed all the letters to the editor while he’s sitting on top on his doghouse.

Love the set & can’t wait to build it. Waiting on mine from S@H.

It’s really detailed. Definitely a fun build.

Just finished this set and really enjoyed it. I had an issue with my carriage that i was wondering about. So as i was building it, i would obviously mess around with the keys and do some “typing” as i went to make sure the keys are moving properly and all that. The problem came when i went to add the carriage. I think since i was messing around typing before i added the carriage mechanism, it may have put the carriage on too far to the right. Like, it doesn’t sit in the middle of the page when it runs out of room and needs to be reset almost like it wasn’t centered correctly when i put it on. The result is that i push the carriage all the way to the right, and by the time i run of out of keystrokes and need to push the carriage back to the right, the carriage has only moved to the left a small amount. It’s final position before needing to be pushed back is way off center from how it should look. One thing I was wondering about is if there is any way for the carriage springs to be “reset” somehow so that I can realign it and it will finish its keystrokes with the carriage properly in the center instead of still being close to the right side. I can’t really explain it very well, but I just want the carriage to be in the center of the typewriter by the time it needs to be reset. Is there any way to “zero out” the springs to adjust the final position of the carriage?

Firstly I love sand green. I think it’s my favourite Lego brick colour. When I first saw the set I thought it looked awesome, but that it wouldn’t really fit in my collection and be for me. Sadly (for my wallet) history is repeating itself LOL. After seeing the reviews this week, I think I need the set for my home office 😂. Would look great on my bookcase!

It's hard to say, as I don't have the DB5 yet. However, I'd probably recommend the DB5 for now, as it's older than the typewriter.
