To clarify about the figures: Though I've only seen the movie end to end once, I've seen bits of it repeatedly while channel-hopping for the past 40 years now and did look at pages of stills before recording this video. The figures do not do it for me. My brain may be needing more realism than the LEGO format can provide. Whatever it is, not one of them looks close enough to make me, Jang, say "Oh look, that's him!" I completely understand if literally not one soul in the world agrees with me; it's all good 😁

As a Jaws and lego fan who has seen the movie way too many times including last year on IMAX, I kinda agree with you Jang. Quint is probably the best of the three and makes me "see" the character. I get Brody is a pretty generic looking guy lol but still, his hair is darker. And while Hooper's beanie was in a few scenes it's really small, I hope there's an alt hair piece for him too. Nonetheless, very excited for this set.

The figures are pretty spot on, actually. Quint looks great. Brody is much more recognizable with the alternate face with glasses. The Dreyfuss hat is very much part of the character. He doesn’t have it once he’s on the boat but it’s rather recognizable as part of the character overall.

I disagree about the figures. To me they all look like the characters, especially Quint. This entire set is pretty much perfect and I’m definitely gonna have to make a purchase. 😁

Dude, they nailed the figures! Watch the movie again, it holds up pretty good after all these years.

I thought both Quint and Hooper are INSTANTLY recognizable. I was excited when I saw how good those figures looked.

I could definitely tell who those figures are even if i hadn't seen this. I watch Jaws annually....and yes, Richard wore that little cap. Oh, this set is GREAT.

You've only seen Jaws once! It's definitely worth rewatching as it still holds up well despite the improvement in special effects. Must say, I'm very tempted to buy this - minifigures look great

Thing about those Lego minifigures. They got lifeless eyes, black eyes. Like a dolls eyes, dont even look alive til you build them.

Jaws is one of my all-time favorite movies and I was a supporter of this project on the Ideas website from the beginning. I'm so glad it was approved for production and it looks amazing! Can't wait to see it assembled on my shelf!

I’m so excited for this set. I was born in 75’. My family was vacationing at Cape Cod when the movie was filming. They saw the Orca. Even though I didn’t see the movie until the 80s, as a youngster, I still knew about Jaws and that sharks wanted to eat you. This is a day one purchase for me. 🦈 If I could add, I was hoping it would be released July 4th or July sometime. As the movie takes place around 4th of July weekend. And those beaches will be open.

What a huge coincidence lol. I rewatched JAWS again this weekend and it’s still one of the best movies ever made imo. And this set looks incredible! I want to pick this up.

The minifigs and the Orca look amazing. The shark is okay, and I wish the boat could float. Overall, nice set. I'll get it.

It’s probably a 86876 with a 32474 or a 3700 with a ball joint pin.

1:42 Eye is most likely a microphone piece, just like in Kingfisher set.

This does seem like it would be a fun one to build on-stream. Or at least fun for me to watch you build on-stream. :)

A few years ago my local multiplex showed Jaws and it was a sold out performance. It really stood up well and was a great night at the cinema with an audience that was into the movie.

Oh my goodness. They used Steam Boat Mickey’s hat as the bell but upside down!

First Jang do yourself a favour and watch it again -- its one of Spielberger's best early movies.. I love it and I think they have captured the Mini-Figs well. I like the dynamism of the scene too, and the multiple poses of “Bruce” are a plus. For those of us who know the movie, check out the back of the box. The photo extreme left recreates the USS Indianapolis scene. Yes get this, I would love to see your review. Start saving…

This is easily an all-time set for me, I think it looks perfect! I would love for you to review this as you always go into such good detail and hearing your in-hands thoughts with sets.

Jaws is one of my favorite movies, and has been since it originally came out. I was little, but we went to see it multiple times. It's my annual July 4 movie. This is the set that makes it worth me driving 5 hours to my closest LEGO store to get day 1. I sure hope they stock a lot of them.

My god, in the 360 video, the waves looked like they were moving! Such a fantastic job done on this set!

@Jang go back to your video around 1:40 and look at that image where you ask about the eyes. That particular face (looks like head is double-printed) is pretty spot on for the character in the movie.

Yeah maybe it's a good attempt, but though I've only seen the movie straight through once, I've come across it channel hopping and seen stills all my life, and looking at the stills right now side by side with the LEGO figures, I'm just having trouble with them, personally. I think my brain may want more realism than a LEGO figure can deliver.

Yeah I just don't have time to rewatch stuff all the time like most people do. I work every day, all day & night. I absolutely love Star Wars and I'm presently re-watching the movies sequentially for the first time since just before Force Awakens released in theaters.

Jang probably the best reviewer out there, but I was thinking those figures really do look like the characters as well as a lego minifigure format can. Quint, Brody and Hooper instantly recognisable even without the context of a jaws set being reviewed.

I think it would have been good if the stand for the shark was the mechanical structure the film shark (Bruce) had. A Spielberg mini fig for that stand too, if we're wishing!

I think this is one of the least changed ideas sets from Concept to build. The biggest change is the stand and a slight retooling of the boat in different colours (but it’s roughly the same shape) the shark almost looks identical!

I've never seen the movie, though I've a few seconds of snippets here and there, and even I like this set! Love the boat, and how the shark detaches from the stand so it can be put into the scene. Very well designed.

The Robert Shaw figure looks like him but I agree with you for the other two. Sets looks beautiful.

It doesn't matter that much to me if Jang reviews this.. because I know I'm getting it. It looks great, I love the movie, I love boats and I love Lego Dioramas.. this checks only good boxes.

I would love to see you review this set, and that's coming from someone who has only seen Jaws once too. The boat alone holds a massive appeal for me. Personally, Duel, Spielberg's earlier film that was basically a precursor to Jaws, left a bigger impression on me (I see there's a LEGO IDEAS set still open for support).

If you look at the back of the box, it seems like the display stand has the shark tail built INTO it, and the head has some kind of quick release to swap from the diorama to the display
