Great build Robin. The story telling is really coming along nicely. I am picturing the secret hidden base in the corner belonging to Slime Face. The divers can be constructing the tunnel when they got too close to the secret lair, triggered the alarms to release the sharks to defend the base. The only improvement I can see is to give the sharks a Dr. Inferno sticker just so there is no denying whose creation these sharks are.
Wow!!! Yay the sharkinator 🦈 I gave you. You could use it for an Ultra Agents scene or anything in future. It was hard to find the sharkinator for good ££ but I did. Yes it has gone up even more. It was really fun to just see it. The build you did today is better for these sharks. Very funny!!! The diver says “Help!!! …. and make it snappy” JJ Field🦈

Well Robin…….Given that you are a superb Lego designer, uniquely engaging, utterly entertaining channel host, and you are an Englishman………I think it’s time we crown you “King” of the Lego channel presenters.🤴
That was a awesome problem to solve, slime face is a great character and could go great in this build. The sharks 🦈 going around is a fantastic bit and i like how you incorporated plants and life on the rock surface keeping with your theme 👏 well done mate
I had a good laugh, thank you for that! Amazing as usual. The only small thing: The diver should get another type of mask with which he could survive in that depth. Not that he will survive for long...

Another great build Mr Robin, may I suggest that a small cave could be added into the rock formation which includes an item(s) Slimey McSlimeface is guarding with his sharks, which the unwitting divers have stumbled upon - hence their gory demise?? 🦈🏊🦈

This is amazing!!!
The first generation Blacktron base 6987 had two play features to and they used 2x2 cones as knobs yo turn, which didn't work very well. I used the bubble tyres. I can see why you don't like them for vehicles in your city, but they work well as knobs. 24:53v'Going to meet his maker (although I guess technically that's you)' or 'Going for a Burton'' maybe?
@RobinHoodBricks

Not heard the Burton one before. I quite like the bevel gear for grip but a tyre is perfect out of sight!

@@RobinHoodBricks I've been reading a lot of Biggles recently, 'gone for a Burton' was WWII RAF slang for someone who had been shot down, similat to 'bought the farm' in the First World War.

Looks awesome :). The attack angles of the shark seem a bit off. Maybe if you can move the sharks one or two studs back on the mount, or somehow angle them in a bit more., that would be perfect.
@RobinHoodBricks
Жыл бұрын
Maybe back but not angled. They are too big to ever look perfect. They were awful on the long arms. I didn't show that!
So nice just like my Lego table love the water look
For the Sharkanator- you could treat it as its own character so maybe it could be at the ware house dock as though it is talking or doing some kind of deal with D.r Inferno. Then it would almost be like the other sharks are the Sharkanator's minions. Maybe the sharks are buying weapons for fighting something else like the mermen by serving as workers for Dr. Inferno. The hidden mechanism looks good even with the place holder construction. With the extended axel, maybe you can run something else in the cabinet off of that as well. Like making slime face bob in water? You could hide the handle as a ship steering wheel with most of the ship cut off by the front glass, you would also have some of the ship hold exposed to play with for scenes. For decorating around the shark scene you could have one of those diving cages damaged nearby. The shaped top of the rock for mounting the diver looks really good. Maybe the music could be the jaws theme as though on a merry go round or organ? Searching for Jaws main theme arranged for organ gave a good feeling of that. The camera angle really allows you to notice how well the sand plates mesh with the background. Do you plan for some glass to be exposed on each level floor to help show that it is one continuous space? Maybe have the sharks flipped to follow the arch? The curve of the clear arches may subtly enhance the impression of a closing circle that way.
@RobinHoodBricks
Жыл бұрын
Nice long comment. Yes, some glass will be exposed on each level with magnetic transitions where possible to make it more obvious. It should be like steps down a hill but, obviously, it's stacked one above the other!
Absolutely amazing. I have future plans to add an underwater scene to my city and this would be absolutely amazing. Thanks Robin!! Great build as Always

You could maybe put the buried shark in the deepest layer with a UV minifig head attached to an old whip #88704, to imitate a ginormous angler fish.
If you can find grey half pins from technic, that is one less color and item to hide under the sharks' belles and you might be able to angle them. Still, "Their gonna need a bigger sub..." lol.

At least this connection is nice and solid. They are quite chunky fellas!
Looking good again. May I suggest using Plate, Modified 2 x 2 with Pin on Bottom. It only has one pin so you can adjust the angle the shark is swimming at.

loving this, the only thing I could see to potentially improve the scene, is if the sharks were flipped 180 to swim the other direction, as with the angle of the beams it'd put their heads closer to the diver and overall look a little more natural
@RobinHoodBricks
Жыл бұрын
Hmmm, I'll try it but I'm not sure about it!
Awesome build! I am not familiar with those big sharks, but if possible I think it could look even better if each one was mounted a bit further back. The swimming motion looks a bit unnatural right now. Or maybe try flipping the liftarms around to achieve more natural looking circle-swimming.
