    I find it's tricky to get my head around Technic building - I'm an engineer but not the mechanical variety, so gearboxes are always a bit of a brain bend, especially when you are not turning at 0 or 90 degrees to the drive shaft. So very well done for working it all out! Throw in a handful of 1x1 grey studs and the noise really will drive you mad! 😂

So the Lego city started on the left of your door with the docks where. I thought that was the top left of the room. So I have to watch them again 🙈🙉 doh !! Any chance you could give us an overview of the whole layout just done perspective and size. I am new to Lego city building. Wow! I’ve been waiting for Another MOC Friday. I’ve also seen that the fastfood corner has reach 2.5k+ Nice! When (not IF, coz we know it will happen) you start the discussions with the lego team, maybe you can change the name of the pawnshop to “ROBIN’S” instead of “ronin’s”. That way, in the future, you can buy more stickers/printed tiles with “robin” in it! Also, you mentinoed in one for the MOC vids that some modular rules were bent/broken (i.e. the pawnshop’s roof is extended outside of the 32x32 baseplate). Maybe you can think of those when streamlining the original design to the official design.

    I'm not sure if LEGO work with you on the final design but, either way, I adore the idea of changing Ronin's to Robin's as a nod to me. So exciting!

  • @brickartisan

    Ahh...well, they always put some printed piece in the build that’s related to the original designer so changing it to Robin’s Pawnshop is definitely a high possibility. Goodluck! 7k+ more votes to go!

    Great moc. I wondered where we'd see the cement mixer drum. Love train wagons with moving elements. The snow plough/spreader from the 9v era uses an elastic band to enable the axle to drive the rotary spreader. It amazes me the amount different techniques that can be used.

    WOW, what a great addition to the cargo train. How it adds the slight movement to the train as it shows up in between buildings or right below the castle draw bridge @32:51. Great build and perfect color pick with the stripes. It is great that fastfood corner is getting so many votes and I can't wait to see when it hits 10k. Now as always thank you for sharing your ideas with all of us. it is great to see how you have used LDD to try so many different ways to make this work.

    I could watch it all day. Yes, Fast Food Corner is doing very well. I can't wait either. The design process was laborious because of my height restrictions. I had an open centred carriage to accommodate the drum for quite a while!

    Nice project and great execution ! Now I just want to say what I would have done. First: change the color of the barrel to grey (not a big fan of bleu/white/yellow and if you own the yellow cement truck you can say they are from the same company 😉) second: I would have made a second carriage with all the accessories,tracks, tubes, some workers,... Just to make the first carriage stand out because it is a little bit isolated in your freight train. ... Now it's time for you to get to work... I want to see a second carriage video next week! 😂😂😂

    That is way cool. Although the trough to feed the cement off to one side or the other is completely under the drum. I wonder if a solution would be an articulated piece holding just the trough, it would make the wagon even more unique looking. Another interesting idea could be another wagon that is purely a conveyer belt (that would also go around with the train movement) that could overhang to the mixer. Although I don’t know if that’d interfere with corners. Regardless it is a very cool and unique wagon and it looks amazing! Great work!

  • @RobinHoodBricks

    @RobinHoodBricks

    I did play around with this but in the end I settled for simplicity. I assume the drum can be angled up and the chute folded out in either direction. Currently it is stowed for transit. Having something that can actually fold out whilst in transit might cause a derailment somewhere!

    Love the carriage and it will definitely be a great addition to the city. I'd suggest next redoing the main train hull into a British train design. I've seen many recreations of British trains on youtube and think this would make a very interesting build and also a cool aesthetic piece. Would tie in with the railway station perfectly I think
