Really love the pathway, it’s the perfect ratio of studs and tiles. Super organic feel, and the colour really contrasts nicely with the enclosures!
I love the way you've made the water, it has so much depth!
I love that the river flows through multiple exhibits because many zoos have that feature.
The way you described the gravel was so evocative! Loved it!
I love that you have the little "Momo" lemur figure from Avatar the last Airbender in your zoo!
I love your MOCs Jang. Also I love listening to you talk about your hobby as you have a certain warmth and enthusiasm that makes your videos a delight to watch. Keep up the great work. Kudos.
Every time you show your zoo it comes to life a bit more with each video. Very nice the way it all ties together. Can't wait to see more.
This is the kind of stuff I come to the JANG channels for. I used to watch revues too but just don't have the time anymore and these city updates are great
Good to see an update on the KZread side of things.
Appreciate your zoo very much jang ! ❤
This huge layout is becoming better and better each update.
The zoo is looking really nice! I love the elephant exhibit and the thought given to having a lot of space for minifigures to 'walk' through the zoo.
It''s unreal how much space LEGO takes - the Zoo has so much "less" than before. However, the impact is so much more! The wide open areas for figures to explore the park looks so inviting and interesting. If I'm remembering correctly it was much more dense before with sort of high walls. The impact here beautifully executes one of the ah-ha moments you had shared with us in the past at bringing the city to life with expanded sight lines, views at figure level, etc. I hope you're happy with where the city is heading, it really looks great! Also great use of the Paradisa/Ship in a bottle domes. Man those pieces are cool.
That lion exhibit sunset backdrop must be the most memorable thing from the old zoo for me.
I really love the layout and the finished exhibits, can't wait to see the finished zoo
The bridge and water areas really make the base of the zoo pop 👍🏼
It’s Very nice to see how the zoo has evolved since the first zoo in 2014, great stuff!
The backdrops in the animal pens are beautiiful.
😊 It’s a beautiful zoo and feels really alive. I like how open it is and the parallels with the look of a zoo map pamphlet.
I agree about studs. I don't mind Lego looking like Lego!
Been a fan for as long as I can remember! Love seeing these updates and following along with the journey, thanks for all you have done for the lego community!
The new and improved zoo looks really great! I especially like the lack of fence / walls, which makes it so much easier to see the different pens.
I like the mixing of tiles and studs, gives it a very natural look. Great work.
The walkways truly are the perfect blend of studs and tiles! The texture is magnificent.
I know you say the vast majority of viewers want to see set reviews, but for what it’s worth, I really enjoy seeing your original works featured and wish you had time to do more.
I like the combination of studs and tiles. The unevenness of the studs makes it look more like gravel.
I like the great eagle, helps me identify what to expect right away. I think the minifigs would feel the same. Also the mini giraffe and elephant on the gift shop, mind blown!
Been watching this channel since my sophomore year of college. I’m now 27 years old! Hahah miss the city vids! Good to see you have the bandwidth to get some of this out! All love!
That's looking awesome. Love the old style crocodile under the bridge.
Looks so good! My favorite detail is still the cattails in the cat enclosure, the water there has such dimension.
Designing the zoo like a kid friendly map of a zoo is a really fun idea. Its not really like a real zoo, because it doesnf have to be. I like that.
It’s looking great, can’t wait to see it with the railings installed, they’ll really transform it. For the record, I watch every one of your reviews on both of your channels because you are the best but it’s still nice to see what you do in what could be considered ‘your’ time. I’m glad to see you manage to find a small amount of time to satisfy your needs (even if it is at an ungodly hour). Hope you get some sleep, I’d hate to see you burn out.
It’s looking great I really like the organic curves that wrap around the the exhibits. Can’t wait to see it and the city progress
Honestly, I missed your videos. Great job done. Some of us still enjoy your buildings.
The zoo looks fantastic, can't wait to see how it ends up. I love the fun builds and styles to create different shapes, the bridge is what truly amazes me
i like the train in the zoo for the kids. nice touch!
I love the look of that walkway bridge and the overall medium nougat gravel look! The technique you used to give the slight ramp/hump look to the bridge rather than using stairs looks awesome. Excited to the next update!
Always enjoy watching your city updates.
Looks Great. It's easier to see the animals. Love your creativity.
Ave Jang. Realy love how the zoo is getting allong. Very collorfull, peacefull and fun looking. 😃
I love the lions exhibit and all of the vegetation
I like the texture of the pathways, and the roofs look amazing too!
Yay ... Always enjoy seeing your zoo.
I like the compromise with the studs and some tiles for the path around the park it gives a certain feel that you see at a lot of zoo’s were the dirt path has some kind of bark of different tree species mixed in.
I particularly like the 'compromise' of tile/stud which also has a practical feel about it as these surfaces would contain areas which had become smoothed. Nice detail in my opinion and I may try that myself :)
thanks for the update. always nice to see progress with the zoo.....
Love you Jang, thank you for being you ❤️
I love this zoo, I’m glad to see it again but also glad that you’re focusing on what you want to do!
This is looking so cool! This zoo is one thing that I love coming back to check in on every so often
Take your time and do what you love
This looks awesome. All details are just getting perfect.
The first of your videos I watched was your original Zoo-tour!👍
What I love about your stud/plate approach for the ground, is that to me it mirrors the real intended surface pretty well. Especially with the gravel like feel you're going for just plates would feel unnatural. So it's not only a good compromise, but I would actually say you picked the ideal solution, the change in texture from smooth plates to studded plates is also somethings for the eye to pick up on. Small details like these are always intriguing.
Rebuilding and designing things can be scary, since you need to take things apart first, but it's also incredibly fulfilling
Nice to see an update on the Zoo progress, looking really good. FWIW I *like* having studs visible. After all it IS Lego and having it look like Lego seems right. I'm totally stealing that 10-25% tile pattern for better fig positioning though. It'd be great to get more detailed pictures of however the train ends up when it's done. The train was always the best part of the Zoo as a kid (ours was real narrow gauge rail through the woods to the exhibits!) and it's a standout feature here IMO.
Awww that just looks fantastic. Please share more as things progress. Awesome project!
Lookin' great! In-universe is absolutely perfect! The subtle detailing is fantastic.
Awesome progress as always! I remember watching the original zoo videos as a kid 9 years ago and your custom builds have since been a constant source of inspiration, keep it up!!
JANG, what an amazing build! Such an inspiration to me. Thank you for all your content and don’t let anyone’s negative words stop you from doing what you love
so excited for the future of the zoo
Always excited to see what you’re working on for the zoo!! It’s one of my favorites
I love your MOC videos I always look forward to them. Thanks Jang.
Thanks so much for this in depth tour through your zoo! Thanks for explaining your thoughts and process for the new layout. I do love the walkways with the mixture of studs and tiles! I also love the small but detailed habitats! I won’t build a zoo myself for lack of space, but you have inspired me to do some Dioramas which can be interchanged from time to time. I really do hope Lego will put out another form of ape. I loved my Lego apes as a child and recently bought one off eBay for reasons of nostalgia. I am looking forward to seeing more of your zoo in the future. Take care.
Man I like how more open the new zoo is
Loving the zoo so far!
Yeah, getting better and better.
Your zoo looks great. The different trees really add to the overall feel.
It's looking great!! Thanks for taking the time to film and edit an update for those of us on KZread....I know that's time consuming! I really like the empty log in the bottom of the aviary. I know you don't like the outside of the but/snake house-I thought it was great, but I hope you can soon get it out you want it! I know what you mean about not forcing Lego creativity!!
Hey Jang! Love your world-building reasons for creative choices in the habitats. Been watching for a decade now, keep up the good work!
I really like your walkways! the intregration of plates and tile is really well done! Thanks for sharing, Jang!
The Zoo is looking great!
Lovely looking so far. Love the aviary. 👍❤️
I like having more studs than tiles for the walk way. Looking great! I think the mosaic backdrops sound nice!
I love that you have considered the textures and sounds. I’ve never seen studs as a bad thing. It’s not HO model railroading. It’s Lego modeling
Looks great!
Beautiful!!!! Thanks for the update!!! I love this kind of video's! Enjoy building!!!!
Jang this looks amazing. I really enjoy all the details you included in it and the amount of unique animals.
The evolution of the Aquarium and Zoo is bonkers when looking back at what it started as. It's coming together nicely✌
Always love your zoo updates, you've crafted such a wonderful and detailed space. Hope to see more in future!
Looks cool !! Good job !!
I remember when I was a little kid like 7 watching your original zoo video trying to build my own
The water in the zoo looks great.
nice work! i really like the bird cage and how you use modern and older pieces this video deserves more views!
Thanks for the update, looking great 👍 ☺
This is looking so great! I especially love the look of the paths :)
I love it!❤ Keep up the great work!❤
Love to see it
Thanks for the look-around. You are a great builder and I love seeming the/some/more progress. Keep it up.
It's looking great Jang I can't wait to see it completed and to see the full tour
I love the progress of the zoo and all your custom builds. Your reviews are great as well, but I'm here for your custom builds. But keep it the way you like it!
Yay! still great to see you working at your own pace
The best Lego guy on yt
Looking great Jang! Loving the progress updates, the walkway really pulls all the exhibits together
This looks amazing. Thank you so much for sharing!
I always love your build update videos.
Looking good, enjoyed the update. Lots of cool little features.
Looking great! Thanks for the update Jang!
The zoo is one of my favourite parts of your city. There's a lot I like about it, and I'd love to make one myself. It's funny because I actually thought of using the old-school elephant head to represent a sign/fake elephant for the outside of the zoo, just like you did. But you used grey and I was thinking of using the blue one. This zoo is looking really good!
Loving the progress of the zoo and your LEGO city so far. Keep up the great work my friend
Nice to see your progress, thanks for sharing!
