Great review, so glad you showed it running on your track.

You can use theese extra tracks from this set to make a line that goes through the middle of your city, and then use the Public transport set to make a tramway with power functions - some kind of a tramway MOC for the city.And excuse me for my English ... it is not my native language ...great videos...congrats :)

Wow. Watching this in 2017 and seeing your then Lego city. Impressive how far you've come.

The cowcatcher should be on the locomotive. Not on the flatcar. I see too much of this, is that on the instructions? On the box, it clearly shows the locomotive with a cowcatcher.

My favorite part of the set are the small cars. They are so small and so cute.

Great review! I just got really lucky, bought this set used for $116 Cdn, complete except for a single minifigure, PLUS the box included the components for both 7895-1: Switching Tracks AND 7499: Flexible and Straight Tracks!! I couldn't believe how lucky I am. I went from having zero trains to enough for a decent layout. So happy.

This is a really great set I just wish the containers were the same size as the ones from the 2007 7992 Container Stacker and 7994 LEGO City Harbor.

I still have this set.

I think the idea was at 5:13 was u have a short on there and then put another container on there that was nearly the same length as the containers from other previous sets.

I will get this set for my birthday

Instead of bending the flex track side 2 side u could bend if up and down to create a small degree incline of the tracks hight

It's more of a russian train... Also a bombardier traxx is very possible in lego, i might even make one just to show you.

You accidentally put the plower pieces on the freight. I’ve done this too. It doesn’t really make a difference though. Keep up the good videos!!!👍👍👍👍👍👍

They are like the ram on a bulldozer, on trains they are mostly used to clear small snow drifts or minor obstacles like small rocks or animals

Jang why dont you make your lay out bigger so you actually use the train track from that set

I really love the set myself too, it s nicely done and has lots of features! Only thing I have a " complaint" about is the trailer of the truck getting stuck in a left or right turn and not getting back to a straight position when you put the yellow container on the trailer, which I feel like is a shame. But still a nice set :-).

I've had this too, but you can move the kingpin block 1 front on the trailer. That solves the problem. You'll have to move the legs, too.

You know considering the fact that the cars are clearly being shipped to their sellers why do they have license plates, at least here in the US a care doesn't need or can have a licence plate until it is owned

+Alistair Fisher 9V track can run 9V trains but can also fit power function trains perfectly well.

I had this Train, and my dad said that i selled him because i dont played with him. I ant remember this! But, i have just left those 2 cars we forgot to sell xDDDDD

I wish I could just buy the locomotive separately. The rest I can take or leave.

I love that Tanker Car! But i think you have done something wrong. If you look at that wagon with two cars on it. They have the wrong train buffers. Those are the engines buffers.

Personally I think it looks more like a Class 56 Diesel locomotive. Of course LEGO must have converted it to use electric for environmental reasons. :)

***** Not really, the single window design on the front makes it hard for it to look like anything much. If I had to choose, i'd say it looks like one of these 3: 2ES10, EP20, or EP200. All of which are russian.

They’ll switch them out every 4 years, so by next year, we should be getting a new lineup, then in a couple more there should be a second freight set as well, the current trains will probably be gone in a year or two

I hate that LEGO likes to just recreate old sets they've made. Things like multiple garbage trucks, cement trucks, etc. The heavy-haul cargo train is essentially a re-release of this set but with more European railcars. The red cargo train has to be my favorite. Mainly because it's a new design choice for LEGO and it's based off my favorite locomotive.
