One thing they misreported. The video shows individual soldiers firing. The British were trained to fire in volleys (the entire line of soldiers fired simultaneously).

In a one-sided engagement with very minimal numbers like this one and against a disorganised foe I’d imagine a fair amount of firing at will would happen. But you are right, and they definitely did fire in volleys at some points at Lexington.

In the actual battle, the British fired way faster, anywhere up the 3 or 4x faster than the barely trained militiamen, and the “battle” took place on a field, so neither side had any cover and the milita guys were running, not shooting that much.

Great video -- one critism -- independent fire in the Regular Army was rare -- more volley fire and you would have a true winner...cheers and God Save the King .. LOL
