$52 cad is a steal…even from Ali. I just finished a Downtown Diner replica. It was solid. I have an original Fire Brigade from many years ago. It’s my personal favorite.

I’m stunned that it looks so good for $52 Canadian. That’s the equivalent of about £32 British pounds. Outstanding value when you consider how much the original cost new, and how much secondhand copies of the original command on eBay. Like you, I’ve not had any issues with buying from AliExpress. I’d go as far as saying, I have no qualms about buying knock-off sets, especially the retired versions. It’s not like I’m robbing LEGO of any revenue.

Agreed, Outstanding value and quality. These prices allow people to complete their Cities, it just wont be a "Lego City" and I am ok with that. Thank you for sharing❤️ and Thank you for your support😊

You did, old sets used a lot of parts still available today that you could have bought from PaB, sourced from currently available sets or bought it from people who were likely to buy from Lego. There's also something to be said about copyrights on the set's design. But I'm neither a lawyer nor a cop. Just be aware that this could possibly be considered a counterfeit, depending on how stringent your local laws are.

Great review! Can you post a link to the exact set you purchased? One of the frustrations I have with KZread reviews of the alternative brands is AliExpress etc. have so many sellers with the same products but the quality is not consistent. I would very much like to get the same one you got but I can’t find “king bricks” (I’m not even sure that’s correct). Thanks!

@@SheClicksBricksawesome - thanks! I’ll definitely check them out. I just need the fire brigade, town hall and grand emporium to have every set. I think the worst experience I had was the detectives office where I had to glue several windows to get them to stay. Most of the time I’ve had no issues at all. Some of the substitutions for minifigs are kind of funny (lion knights castle a cow was changed to a reindeer, etc. )

@@SheClicksBricks Oh wow their prices are really crazy. Not worth it with the shipping cost for the small sets, but the big sets end up costing a third or even a quarter of the price! Who needs space when you can have plastic crack instead?

@@LutraLovegood 🤣🤣. Keep in mind these prices are not Lego quality. But it was a game changer for me. Just be ready to run into the occasional deformed or missing piece. A good spare parts collection helps. I haven't run into anything major just small things and my customer service experience has been great. Sets that use GoBricks are awesome(Usually MOCs). Many feel that GoBricks are Lego quality.

I just got mine from Aliexpress also. Plan to build it this week. - Looks like I will not be disappointed. - Tammy
