10290 Pickup Truck is a rarity amongst the large scale vehicle sub theme. More often than not the designers are working towards replicating a specific make or model, be it either a Porsche 911, A Harley Davidson Fatboy, an Aston Martin DB5 or another equally iconic motor vehicle. This particular pickup truck is not based on any one specific model, but rather an interpretation of what a pickup truck from the 1950s would have looked like.

Got to say this was a great review. Might pick this up. I hope Lego do some more cars that aren’t based on one specific model. I’d love to see a tiny house camper an style one that’s not a vw.
