The World Heritage Site in the middle Rhine valley is regarded as the epitome of the German soul. There is a castle per kilometer and wine which the Romans brought to the North 2,000 years ago. Past the legendary Lorelei, the Rhine flows on to the German corner at Koblenz. From the "Siebengebirge", the seven mountains, the route leads to Bonn, the former German capital.

The Rhine has been shrouded in myth over the centuries: No other river in Europe has more stories to tell - full of desires and longings. From a bird's eye view the film dives into the canyons of the Rhine source and at the Rhine Falls small drops of water fly past the audience so that they consider themselves right in the middle of the cascades. Panoramic shots amaze the audience all the way from Switzerland to the Netherlands. The Rhine is also one of the busiest waterways worldwide: The contradiction between industry and the urge for re-naturalization is vivid in everyday life of many of the protagonists - from the archaeologist at Lake Constance to the shepherd living in the green Rhine delta near Rotterdam.

My family went on this cruise in 1991. It was absolutely beautiful! I will never forget all the castles and towns. It was like going back in time . I loved living in Germany , it has a special place in my heart ♥️

41:37 "But Snow White, behind the Seven Mountains with the seven dwarves is still a thousand times more beautiful than you." With the dwarves being mineworkers in their medieval workwear (even in the cartoon by Disney portrait rather accurate). And no shortages of princesses in this area either.
