Ah! Missed it. This place has so much history to it. I still remember the craze I had when I visited this place for the first time. Cheers for covering this one.

Experience has been good. Ofcourse I wont expect high levels but as you said, the tradition. I love the food plus I love the fact how they have continued even after the struggles over the years. The Fish Sui Mai is something to die for here. And the Bao, or as it is known as the Thai Po. The fried rice ball is a good sweet as well. Definitely worth going for non pork eaters as well, but yes its not a frequent go to. Love the people out there and the food

Finally tried the breakfast, the most talked one. Won’t say that it was an amazing experience, but ya definitely recommended for the pork lovers.

i have a geniuine question regrading what you said about pork and chicken together , what about restaurants like kamli ,eau chew etc , do they cook everything together or separately. feel free to answer.

Totally true i don't like pork too and this place is overhyped .Taste is below average.

Actually I feel there are lots of things which does not have pork. Almost all the items have chicken and fish variables. It might be difficult if you choose not to eat even the items which are cooked together with the pork. But other than that there are. Chicken momo, tai peo, fish siumai, chicken and fish wontons, chicken and fish soup balls, chicken spicy kababs, chicken and fish spring rolls, rice balls, Chicken pies, Prawn Chips. There is a particular person who sells only chicken and pork pies in plastic containers. I didn't see him in your video. I guess somebody who knows the entire market well could've guided you better. Few may say this market is overrated but it all depends on the day and time people have visited the market. We mjght have gone there for breakfast over 50 times over last 5-6 years and few times even we were disappointed. But our experience were really really good at other times. People should give this place a visit at different times and different days, that will be my suggestion.

You'll went to the wrong people, you need to go to chinese people.

I completely relate with the part of the video where you state about the smelling market place. For me it's one of worst experience visiting this unhygienic and smelly bazaar. It's very hard atleast for me to consume food over there. The local authority should look into the matter and can make this historic place much more organised and hygienic.

I faced the same issue as they don't keep pork items separately

The amount of litter on the street is definitely not nice to see. I understand most places with street food vendors don't have proper litterring places but this is looking very bad.

Oitai bolechilam naa je high expectations na rakha bhalo..ar jara pork khayna Tara akdomi Shanti kore parbena kichu khete. Tao chicken momo ta decent and jini pork khachhilen se jodi oi Pork aloo tikki ta peto ota bhalo lagto decent amount pork thake otaye 40 moto naye but jhal jhal so ota amaro besh legechilo. Fried momo taao worth trying.

I cannot eat in a place like this with filth scattered all around, however 'tasty' the food is. Kolkata was dirty, is dirty and will remain dirty for eternity. 😑 Like CM, like city/state.
