Skyfi Audio is a small startup business specializing in the purchase, reconditioning, and reselling of select high end audio equipment. We only buy equipment that we admire and are passionate about. No mid-fi, no gimmicks, and no junk.
Each piece of equipment is cosmetically restored and fully tested in our well-equipped lab by an engineer with 30+ years of experience in the HiFi world. If it does not meet or exceed the original manufactures specifications, it will not be sold. We are very selective about the equipment we purchase, focusing on mostly analog, high-build quality, American, and European built units.

Bulid like a tank
I have a Denon SX1 dcd Limited...I don't hear that kind of noise...Does Esoteric make a model that like this one sacd w/ dac that doesn't make so much noise...?
when the lid is on, is it much quieter?

I used to own one and no It was noisy. The bearings are easy to change and I tried many even ceramic. Annoying in a quiet room and soft music. I changed for the K-03X much better but still can hear it a little.
I was thinking of purchasing this unit but I also want to stream.. is the N-03T also needed?

Only if you don't want to use a computer. I have a laptop and a 10 ft USB cable and it works fine.

What is the best option to get mine repaired?
I would have thought the laser assembly look more specialized and overbuilt, looks typical like you'd see in a Chinese DVD player.

TEAC DVD/ CD mechanism is widely known as the best out therefore. Many manufacturers buy the TEAC and use it in their products. TEAC and Esoteric are owned by the same company.
Holy Jesus!!! That thing is built like a tank 😆 lol. With the right system I bet it sounds fantastic. But the asking price. Yikes!! $25000 USD. My pockets aren't that deep 😆 lol.
Wonderful cd player, the world's best manufacturer of player mechanics! Too bad that the cd support suffers from some defects like the plastic that covers the encoded part, some marking inks that destroy the top layer of the cd... With players of this category, cd's made with more noble and more durable materials, would have brought much more musicality!
