Tom Basso is the actual and genuine face of a professional trader who knows where to draw the lines when it comes to trading and to view it not as some get-rich-quick kind of scheme, but to see it more as a journey, where you learn while you trade, enjoy while you trade and live your life in a healthy manner while you trade. Trading is definitely not meant to be seen as a 24/5 kind of manic race where you need to prove anything to anyone. It's all about control, psychology and moderation and definitely not about greed, competing or the need to prove anything. Tom has really proved this fact with his awesome website and by his overall approach to trading which he sees as a professional business and not something to pass his time. Hope we can all emulate his character in our lives and in our business of trading. God bless you all. And most of all, a big thank you to you, Etienne for yet another mind blowing pick of a guest for your video. Thoroughly enjoyed it, bro 🙏🤝

This guy is the real deal and on top of that he is a very nice guy. I had the opportunity to chat with him and was not condescending and helpful.

There is a reason that Dr. Van Tharp (R.I.P. 🙏) mentions lessons learned from Tom Basso in his books, and Jack Schwager interviewed Tom for his "Market Wizards". - Thanks for this interview with a true living legend here! - 👍 - Much appreciated.

I looked into it as soon as he talked about it. He would have to tell us what setting he’s using otherwise you’re just pissing in the wind. I looked at it on a few time frames, adjusted the parameters, it didn’t give me anything I could be confident with.

“Stereotypical trader chain smoking and stressed out”. I always thought the most successful day traders were the people who were relaxed, calm and confident and meditated and had great lives. Am I wrong? I was watching the tv show Suits the other day and they rented the extra office space to day traders and they really portrayed them as wild, rowdy, rude animals.

Yeah. He explained how he uses them. It works for him. I’ve looked into them, they do nothing for me, that’s just me. Here’s how I deal with researching indicators, if I don’t see a clear understandable benefit in less than 5 minutes it gets deleted, trashed 🗑️. Keep it simple.

Looking for the easy way out? Well, no ones gonna give you one because there isn’t one. If you actually listened he said he uses 9 strategies, 9 strategies, if youve been trading for more than a month, youve probably seen and heard about a thousand times. Pick one and go with it. Try them all until you find one you like. Sounds like work doesn’t it? Tough crap, that’s the way the world works, if you want something you have to work for it. If you do nothing, you get nothing.
