The best performance of all time which a player didn't even need to score a goal was Zidane's in 2006 against Brazil. The dude simply humiliated Brazil, hid the ball, did what he wanted and then some. And he even assisted on the goal. Magician, absolute genius!

I watch matches from several eras of football and there has never been anything like this in such an important match (World Cup knockout stage).
