same here. *MY* introduction to Vin was "The Catch"
We will all miss the legendary Vin Scully. I will forever miss such an iconic voice at Dodger Stadium. Rip Vin Scully. My deepest condolences to his family and other loved ones.
It’s so saddening how the Dodgers would react while in a game that a legend has died. I bet he’s reunited with his wife and loved ones in heaven. You will be forever missed Vinny. 🕊
I have loved Vin Scully since the day the Dodger first played in Los Angeles. He was my hero and idol as a boy. I am crying like a baby today missing someone who is in my heart forever. Rest in Peace Mr. Scully.

R.I.P. Vin! You’ll never be forgotten!
Vinnie’s voice was the background music to all my summer vacations.
We will miss you Vin Scully 😥
Forever in our hearts.
It's not an exaggeration to say that 90% of what I know about baseball I learned by listening to Vin Scully as a child.

Yeah and not only did we learn a lot about the game of baseball, we learned so much about every player and coach from each game. The stories he told about people is what I'll always remember the most. RIP Vin
I still have my late father's little Sony transistor radio with the leather casing and strap from when he would take me to Dodger baseball games in the 60s and 70s, and I can still remember those Dodger games with everyone bringing their radios to the game, and remembering you can hear Vin Scully's voice reverberating throughout the stadium because of those radios. A memory I will never forget. The voice of summer is now silent. RIP Vinnie. Thanks for all the memories.

Same thing … we had a Zenith radio that we took to every game … it had a little kickstand that you could use to prop it up, we put it under our seats and cranked it 💙⚾️
Man, no Kobe and no Vinny. My childhood is fading away but the memories they gave me and others will stay

Man was a legend greatest broadcaster i was able to hear growing up , No one could fill his shoes.
Red Barber, Mel Allen, even Jerry Coleman… All gone. I’m a padres fan, but I loved Vin Scully, he was so good. The best. Rest in Power
Vin Scully and the Dodgers left Brooklyn a decade before I was born, but he was still the voice of summer baseball, of all sports really, for my entire childhood and my adult life until now. So many sports fans and I will miss him dearly.
He called Hank Aarons 715 HR and did radio broadcast on CBS for the Braves 1995 WS Championship
He reminded me of my childhood. In the late 50s, me and my Pop used to sit on the front porch, listening to Mr Scully call Dodger games. Dad had a little pocket transistor radio, those were great times. R.I.P. 🙏

94 is a remarkable age to make it too. You’re very blessed you got to see the Dodgers win one more time in 2020. RIP Legend
He will never be forgot a grandfather that brought everyone happiness
As a Cardinals fan, I was very shocked and saddened to hear of Vin's passing on Tuesday night. I will certainly miss baseball's ultimate storyteller and that easygoing style. Somewhere beyond those pearly gates now and forevermore, it'll always be time for Dodger Baseball. R.I.P Vin.
But a true ambassador of baseball. Thank you for all your service sir to the most amazing game on earth
My dad was from Brooklyn and was a huge fan. When his family moved west the Dodgers followed two years later and my dad would listen to Vin announce the games on his transistor radio at the Colleseum and later at Dodger stadium. If we were in the car we listened to Vin on the radio. He was a class act and will be missed. ⚾️
What an amazing man and an amazing career: 66 years - 67 consecutive seasons with one team(Brooklyn/Los Angeles Dodgers; 1950-2016) and over 9,000 regular season games broadcast during that time. He was, most certainly, the greatest Dodger of them all, as well as the greatest sportscaster in American broadcasting history. God bless you, Vin Scully, and rest well, dear friend. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ ⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾ 👍👍👍👍👍 🎙️🎙️🎙️🎙️🎙️ 📻📻📻📻📻 📺📺📺📺📺 😁😁😁😁😁
Vinny we love you for all time R.I.P. Old friend. Thank You for everything.
They didn’t mention the fact that VINNIE was a poet broadcaster with a beautiful command of the English language…and understood the game and the ppl associated with the game better than anyone else… RIP VINNIE…⚾️❤️
🕊🙏🏽Thank you for making the game exciting!❤️⚾️🎙
Not a Dodger fan but Vin Scully was a legend. Rest in peace brother
He could always cheer me up with one sentence.... "It's taaaaimmme for Dodger baseball." And "HI, everybody and a very pleasant good afternoon to you, wherever you maybe"
We lose a legend, however, heaven gains an angel. Growing up as a kid in East LA, I grew to love the dodgers. To this day, I and my family remain true blue Dodger fans. Now that I'm in my 50's, my memories as a kid will be of listening to Vin call Dodger games every time they played. Thank u Vin, God bless you... "It's time for Dodger baseball."
RIP Legend
What a career and life he lived will always remember " It's time for Dodger Baseball " RIP 🙏🏻⚾
Generations of Dodgers fans grew up listening to a true icon. Vin Scully can never be replaced.... The GOAT when it came to color commentary... Dodgers games will never be the same without him. I'm willing to bet that Vin and Tommy Lasorda are sitting together and swapping stories.
🙏 RIP Vin Scully💙⚾️ He was the GOAT
This Cubs fan from the Midwest will always respect and love Mr. Scully. It's time for Dodger baseball !!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks, Vin!!! Hey, lets play two!!!
This one hurts so much. I've always loved Vin Scully. I'll always remember him saying " *It's Time For Dodger Baseball!* " This man was not only our beloved legendary sportscaster, he was also our hero. He may be gone, but his legacy will forever live on. Rest in peace, Vin Scully. Thank you for giving us happiness in Dodger baseball over the years. God bless you. 🙏🏻 *Vin Scully (November 29, 1927 - August 2, 2022)*
First Lasorda and now Vin Scully. We need to win it all this year. Bring joy back to La. For them. #ItsTimeForDodgerBaseball
Vin Scully was to baseball and to sports as cracker jacks, apple pie, peanuts, popcorn, hot dogs, and everything else in between, he was the voice of reason, he was a voice who brought Joy to the world through Sports of any kind, no matter if it was baseball, or football, or any kind of sport even sumo. He could make you feel energetic. We share with all fans especially in Los Angeles today and abroad, our sense of loss too. We feel just as you feel, a sense of grief, a sense of appreciation, and a sense of pride. Before he became famous, he was a New Yorker, but when he did sports, he became a living treasure to all of us. There will never be another like him ever, he was one of a kind, and the type of mold of inspiration to Future journalists and sports commentators and so forth. Particularly this one who recently graduated from Bergen Community College who inspires to become a broadcasting journalist and more. Good night dear sir, good and faithful servant, May flights of Angels Sing t h e e to thy rest, we have the watch from here and we will continue to cheer on and enjoy baseball knowing that you left your imprint upon history in sports.
RIP vin scully. You will be missed 😞⚰. Give Tommy Lasorda our regards too
I grew up listening to our Dodgers and attending so many games, here in southern Cal from the 70s with Valenzuela, Garvey, and Monday throughout the 2000s.🙏RIP VIN🥎
Thank you, New York, for giving us Vinny and the Dodgers.
What a wonderful life RIP VIN
I was born in 1959 - the first year the Dodgers won the World Series in LA. I can't imagine doing the same job for 67 years. I think for Vin it wasn't just a job. I remember watching Dodger games on the weekend while lying the couch. His voice lulled me to sleep many times.
Ironic that KTLA was the Angles station and 11 was the Dodgers station.
Thank you Vin. You are the GOAT of any sport to ever do it.
Today, crying in baseball is allowed. Godspeed Vinny

Devastating just devastating RIP
I used to drive from Phoenix to the Pomona Auto Swap Meet at the L.A. Fairgrounds quite a bit from 1980 to 2000 or so. Not much on the radio, so I would seek out Dodger games, just to listen to Vin's call.
im glad be was able to live so long, man i didnt know him but i know that voice god bless vin skully may you enjoy the large open sea of the great beyond
Rest In Peace Vinny.

Remembering the greatest Baseball announcer, and being a Hot Dog person from SoCal. I here echoes of him say " Farmer John Dodger Dogs, they're the Eastern most in quality. And . . the Western most in flavor."
God Bless your soul Vin Scully. You are deeply missed.
a professional broadcaster of the greatest game if ever there was one, he was simply incapable of getting fined by the f.c.c. and was never called out for making a derogatory. he will always be the standard for broadcasting excellence
RIP vin scully. Im happy you got to see the dodgers win one last World Series.
Dodgers Pepsi fan club. He always signed his picture for you and personally answered my questions on air about baseball after the game!
It’s time for Dodgers baseball! Infinite recording! Never ending!!
Voice of my Los Angeles childhood. RIP
This still hurts 💔
It wasn't until I met a guy from Chicago, that I learned that Vin was the Elvis of sports announcers. Growing up with him as the voice of the Dodgers, his excellence was the norm, and I didn't fully appreciate it till later.

Wow what a legacy. I'll "Pull Up a Chair" to reread. I'll give Bob Costas the reason I kept up with Mr. Scully being in Houston, Texas. I do have a question. Mr. Scully said, "She is gone". Wonder why he didn't say he is gone. Can't wait to hear Mr. Costas' great words!!!!!!!!!!!!
