My favourite were the breakaway goals against City in the season the won it under Conte. City could have been 3-0 up in the first half but they stunned City with 3 breakaway goals. Torres goal in the Champions League Semifinal was another shocker for Barca as they were playing with 10 men in Barca's backyard.

A great counter attack will make any opponent scared of you, however good they're. The Blues perfected that at City on Dec 3, 2016... that's how to play on the counter. Brilliant!!💙💙

Counter attacks have always been our best attacking plan.

When I begin to watch Hazard on Chelsea shirts I wish I could see this guy back at Chelsea to his classic skills

Ahhhhh these were some more promising days. This is a great video and shows where our problems are currently. One of our biggest problems is we can never start a counter attack now, when we should counter but we pass the ball sideaways or backwards, negative play. We have the players to counter (Pulisic, Werner, Kantè, Kovasic, CHO) but our attackers are not living up to the hype. What’s common about this video is Eden Hazard (and Willian) are involved in almost every goal. We miss their urgency going forward.

That's not right. The same players were counter attack machines under Lampard. The way Tuchel wants them to play and lining up in a back three means Chelsea is no longer a counter attack team.

At 2:28, notice that Eto-Hazard linkup. Hazard passed the ball and made the run forward knowing Eto would give it back. That's a proper striker. All due respect to Lukaku, but holding on the ball and shielding defenders with your body instead of freeing wingers with a deft one-two would never be effective. No wonder our wingers seem inefficient, if your no. 9 holds the flow of play up instead opening up or giving passes, you'll tend to get frustrated and seem useless.

@@HoseDaily even at Inter, Lukaku himself wasn’t staying close to defenders and trying to beat them with his strength. He had enough spaces to exploit. He can do more than he’s currently doing, but the wingers need to step up also.

Lukaku is not Chelsea's problem. Take Lukaku to that City team today and see him score 35goals a season. Chelsea's problem is lack of forward passing midfielders. No one Chelsea midfielder has a good forward passing ability. Lukaku can make forward runs 30times in a match and will not receive any pass. Chelsea midfielders lacks vision and that has affected Lukaku. This guy's a beast, give him balls on time and u will see him scoring loads of goals. Even a Diego Coasta will not succeed in this Chelsea team d way he did then. Costa had Fabregas, Hazard, Pedro, Willian All great players in ball progression. Not a Georginho, loftus-cheek, Kante Kovacic, Barkley, Ziyetch, or Pulisic that will keep the balls to themselves making aimless forward runs untill all strikers go into offside position. And non of them will ever shoot the balls accurately like the likes of Essien. All present Chelsea midfielders right now, non of them shoots or accurately passes the balls forward. So I laugh when fan heap the blames on Lukaku because they don't understand football.

Havert's UCL Final goal against City should also be considered as a counter-attack goal and one of the best too!

Still praying for the day Chelsea will start scoring goals again with only three players in opposition half
